woolly nailed it
that's how I do it (for radial stuff)
you can change the movement settings on your "ctrl D" or "duplicate" command
X3 has a step & repeat function, but I'm not sure 12 has that too
another thing you could do is use the "align and distribute" function
arrange > align &...
thanks for all the input
found what looks to be a decent book at the local bookstore, that has the basics covered
I'll dig into more specific stuff once I've figured out the basic differences between Adobe and Corel
does anyone know if/how you can get T-bird to automatically show the most recently received e-mail(s)
right now, it just kinda "hangs" so you have to scroll down to see any new e-mails
other than that, I really like it!
thanks for all the input
I bought a Wacom A5 wide (approx 6x11 inches)
I love it! Now I wish I got me one a long time ago!
The pen works very intuitive (even when replacing the mouse)
It's real easy to get used to
And it's just great for freehand drawing
After working for forever with Corel PhotoPaint, I'd like to give Photoshop a try
(yeah, I know, I should have made the switch ages ago...)
So, any of you have recommendations on good PS books?
oh... I got PS CS3 if that matters...
you can use the outline tool, but then you have to 'convert outlines to shapes'
The contour tool is easiest, but sometimes you get better results with the outline tool (round off sharp corners, better/smoother nodes)
don't care if you call is scaling or making it in another dpi/ppi
it "looks" like carbon in 4x4 pixels on your monitor
if you print and still think it looks like carbon, well... I guess you never saw real carbon before :Big Laugh
