  1. Connect Roland GX-24 with Versaworks

My advice would be to forget VW for the GX24 and use cutstudio. Set up the plugin for illustrator or Corel and you dont even need to open cutstudio once you get it set up. You send it straight from illustrator or corel. Super easy and fast. With VW, you have to rip it and then drag it into the...
  2. SP-540 "now heating" problem

I have a SP540v and I have had this issue since ive had it, but its just a minor irritation until today. I have a large job of stickers and Im breaking it into custom cut pages. The problem is that once VW rips and sends the file to the printer, it spins up and then says "now heating". It never...
  3. SC-540v print “shifts” at end of print

That fixed it. Of course I was over thinking it lol. Thanks guys!
  4. SC-540v print “shifts” at end of print

Just clean them with alcohol or...?
  5. SC-540v print “shifts” at end of print

Not sure if shift is the correct term, but the prints are perfect and then this happens at the end. It’s not on everything, just some. Not sure what the common denominator is or how to narrow it down. I use illustrator almost exclusively for artwork and photoshop sometimes. Also use versaeorks...
  6. Help decipher this test print please

Gotcha. Where would the manifold crack be? I have several extras of those here. And I’m going to throw myself through a wall if that cartridge is empty lol.
  7. Help decipher this test print please

Awesome. I will order both of those. I actually just noticed what you meant about I talking the manifold. I did not align the head to the lower left corner. On any of them actually. That’s the first that I noticed that. I just remounted the black one..it did move some. Also did the same on the...
  8. Help decipher this test print please

The dampers are new but I don’t know which brand, they came with the printer uninstalled. The ink was pulled back on both lines. One a little more than the other. I didn’t notice any air bubbles but it’s hard to tell before it gets coated with black. The cap is an off brand but again I’m not...
  9. Help identify please

H2O is impact with an offset or stroke.
  10. Help decipher this test print please

Checking the dampers on black and the ink had pulled back away from the dampers. Used a syringe to pull it back through the dampers. Then we figured I’d take the black head out and look at the manifold etc....the ink “footprint” on the head isn’t centered. Is this enough to cause what is happening?
  11. Help decipher this test print please

Did the cable swap on cyan and magenta....and on yellow and black. Looks the same just in different locations to me. Going to check dampers etc now.
  12. Help decipher this test print please

So sorry brother! I didn’t notice the new message. I’ve been swamped with a sign job. I will do this this evening. Thanks so much for your help! I sincerely appreciate it.
  13. Help decipher this test print please

Followed what you said and there were some bubbles at first. I pulled all of them fine...but black has no resistance and pulls no ink. I replaced that cap, still the same. Not sure what’s going on there. I can pull ink from the dampers on both lines. After the prime and cleaning, the print is...
  14. Help decipher this test print please

Yes sir. I have a few that I e been using.
  15. Help decipher this test print please

So I removed all dampers 1 at a time, snipped each end and cleaned the ends and o rings on the top side. Then cleaned and checked the print and nipple on the bottom side. A couple of the lower o rings weren’t straight so I fixed that, wet them with cleaner and reinstalled them. Also I looked...
  16. Help decipher this test print please

Sorry for the late reply, had to get through thanksgiving and had a few problems pop up that I didn’t know about. The main drain line had come apart inside and was stopped up. Fixed that. Changed all of the ribbon cables, and did the limit initialize. At the end of the sequence, the tool...
  17. Help decipher this test print please

SC-545ex. This is a machine that I purchased that needed heads. This is my first wide format printer so go easy on me lol. I installed the heads, and had trouble getting the ink to pull. Thought I had that sorted out..but this is the current test print. The streaks across are I’m assuming the...
  18. Wifi Network Setup for SC545EX

I have had 3 main routers pop through the incoming cable line. So I was simply trying to avoid any future damage to the printer via the ethernet cable. That is the reason for wanting to connect to it wirelessly and have it on a separate network of its own with no internet access. Basically I was...

Long term reader, just signed up and subscribed today :) I have a SC-545EX that I am setting up. (first time setup) I have my main computer hooked to my main router (with internet access). I have had several routers fried during storms here. So i REALLY dont want to even have the option of...
