HI all, I am considering the new 310 cooler running latex printer. Has anybody tried printing on ultra metallic or material like engine turn vinyls or polyesters? I am replacing a 1304 Valuejet that really is quite versatile for odd applications.

I think the pinch wheel pressure is not easily adjusted on the Summa. To be fair I was flex cutting.

It printed well for me, but I tried contour cutting and the material wondered on a Summa 1400. The pinch wheels gouged out some of the soft backer.

I am not familiar with this material , but I would try to print opos marks on the material. Even if you have to stick some printable white on your materiel. Then you can cut it in as short of sections as you would like and the marks would permit you to re-align the material .

If I am happy with the rip &cutting from Flexi 8.6 pro. Would it be practical to subscribe toFlexi-designer basically to add the soft shadow feature, them outputit from the 8.6 production manager?

I would download Summa Winplot from the Summa site. Then export your cut file as an ai. This would bypass the Gerber software and maybe tell the story of what's not working properly.

Is it still pink after lamination? Usually the lam will cast a green tint.

Hi Gene, I have 8.6 pro. I use a shortcut key. When your display has a file open , I just push the "D" key down. No control or alt, just the d to bring up Select by attibutes.

I use the select by attributes and check the mask selection , then un-mask them all at once. Then I switch to wireframe and select the masks by holding down the control key and grab them all at once and delete them. This even works fairly well when those pesky masked gradients are sent your way.
