Intel Quad core q6600 G0
Asus or abit ip35 pro board
Geforce 8800 gts/ultra whatever they are fast unless you want to go quadro fx (nvidia)
PC P&C power supply silencer 750 quad

1: you wont need liquid cooling unless your OC in it and by the sounds of it you wont. I run a coolit tec/liquid cooler on mine but my q6600 (intel) is on its way to 4ghz + and a prime 95 8 hour small ftt test so yeah I need extra.
2: Intels are kicking the cr@p out of amd and the penyren...
Depends on the ram, mine is 6400 and its timings are 4;4;4;15;42 and can be tightened if needed. If that were the case Id have 3200 but its not. You can adjust (good quality) memory some either slacken or tighten the latencys up.
Heres what I run and it hands me my @$$ its so fast...
The water block had frost starting........... I filled the socket bin (center of cpu socket) with neoprene to avoid any condensation build up and siliconed the outer rim filled the socket with die electric and put a run of silicone around and put neoprene on it. I also put die electric on the...
Hey now I put garbage in and get gold out.... :thumb:
Btw: cooler temp was 12/13 degrees celcius at 10am, I am doing a little insulation ie die electric, neoprene and rtv silicone to seal the cpu socket from issues. Thats way cold............... Or get a q6600 OC the crud out of it to make up...
Its the eliminator.
Works like a charm, love it. I would have paid more for it based on the cooling and performance. It was way better than expected and the harder you push the heat limits the more effetive it gets.
Its smaller than the freezone, easier to install and bang for the buck is a...
CPU was sitting at 15/16 degrees last night at idle and the shop was 85 degrees inside. Thats overclocked as well at 3.4ghz (mild overclock), likes to run cool. Did a 14.3 M1 super pi test at 3.4 and got it in the mid 13's playing around with it at 3.55mhz (mild cpu V increase to stabalize) ran...
Antec mid tower server case, high mount hidden power supply. I had to modify the rear a little and in doing so I lost my handle/hinge sp I adapted and plexi'd it. It was either that or a hole from the handle so I opted for the clear.
I paid $35 from a guy and came with 6 case fans and all bay...
Tunig got beat by the thremalright 120 extreme, as a matter of fact almost all coolers Air and some H20 got owned by it. Mine almost got beat by the darn thing at OC loads and its 1/4th the price, I upped fan speed and flow on mine to compensate...
I agree on the E6850 because i run the same...
Id go tiger direct, heard alot of good things about them. I wanted speed period and the guy I had helping me is good but coep america I need to put a catalog together good. I need speed so i took it upon myself and in under a week built it to the gills abd now added water cooling and modded it...
Again Q6600 CPU, raptors or like drive raid 0+1 (speed and stability), 4gbs of ram OCZ is real good(xp only see's 3.4 but PS will take 1.7 and pipeline a little if needed), 500wt PSU (decent one is corsair), typhoon 120 extreme if you want to push the quad (they are easily 3.0 mhz safe and...
Quad, good board (asus or abit) 4gbs ram and a 8800 or a pny duagro fx, raid 0+1 and a good fan on cpu.
ddr3 isnt necessary and is overpriced right now so ddr2 is the way with the price drops and the q6600 is running $279 now.
Boards abit ip35e or ip35pro are great boards with a ton of...
We can all drive something to work the question is if its for the long haul and time is part of the equation is it going to make it and be cost effecient.
I went bigger and faster and liquid but in 4 years from now I can still play at the current or close to the current speeds due to my...
