We tell our customers that we print our magnets 1 a week on Fridays. It has saved us a lot of setup time from doing 1,2 or 3 sets a time. If you could do 7-10 sets per hour (if you are printing and laminating not cut weed ect.)@ $39 per set then it is worth it if you are a small to average...
NOT SURE WHERE TO POST THIS. BUT I HAVE A CUSTOMER FOR QTY 2000
60"X90" POSTERS FOR A NEW MOVIE. WHO IS MY BEST CONTACT FOR QUALITY-TURN TIME-AND PRICE. WE CAN PRINT IT ON OUR H700 BUT IT WOULD TAKE A MONTH.
THANK GUYS AND GALS:thankyou:
Good Luck with your new sign business!! Try going to youtube and looking for instructional videos. Reading about what to do doesn't help that much if you have no idea what you are doing. It is not a get rich quick business. It is very labor intensive with long hours.
rastek h700 for the bigger 2 and the roland sc-540 for the 4' banners. Finished them with miller weldmaster c-mit 1000. We also have an automatic grommeter (chinese machine but works great)
:goodpost:
You are a moron - THANKS!
We wholesale to other printers in the area for $1.75-$2.50/sf
This end user has 13 car dealerships and does over $400,000 a year in banners. WE WANT THE BUSINESS!!
"If I were one of your local wholesale clients and found that out, I'd never buy...
No. I beat out their other printers price without knowing and they said they were going to use us from now on for their printing. The previous banners were approx. $3.50 sq ft.
I have a fairly new customer (car dealership) who sent me 4 banners (4'x30', 4'x12', and 2 12'x13') about 3 hours ago and they want them tomorrow morning. We will be welding the edges and putting grommets every foot. How much % more should I charge? I was thinking 50% more for the job.
For the encoder strip we use a lint free cloth. Something very soft that is clean and doesn't have any soaps or detergents in it. Wipe it softly across the whole thing. We have also flipped ours upside down when it got too bad and have only replaced it once in the last 8 years. You can also...
DOWNLOAD THE SERVICE MANUAL AND READ THROUGH IT ABOUT ALL THE MAITENANCE ADJUSTMENTS (DAILY WEEKLY) THAT NEED TO BE DONE. YOU CAN DOWNLOAD IT HERE http://www.eserviceinfo.com/download.php?fileid=41380 YOU NEED TO DOWNLOAD ALL 3 PARTS BEFORE YOU UNZIP IT.
WE HAVE THE SC-540 AND HAVE BEEN USING...
The jarhead material doesn't stick well to textured walls and will start to curl like kentucky said. We use phototex from fellers and it works awesome for jobs like that.
We have the same problem. We tend to start our price out higher with some of our current customers then lower them to the normal price after our negotiations.
The easiest way would be to add a bleed to the file before you bring it in to wasatch. I have wasatch colorip and you can change the output size before you print.
It is simple. We changed our 3 pumps on our SC-540. It took about an hour. Get the service manual for it and do everything yourself from now on (if you feel comfortable).
We have had the same problem for a long time. I would try running a cleaning cartrige through the magenta. If that doesn't help you can probably solve the problem with doing 1 pass instead of bi-directional. I know it isn't a permanent fix because it will print a lot slower but it might help...
When you are going through a set of inks per week the price difference really adds up. We have used redgiantink.com for over 2 years now and they have them priced for the 440 eco-sol max at $69. If you email them and tell them Marc from banners 2 go referred you they will sell them to you at...
