I've actually printed on clear before. It doesn't turn out nearly as nice as the other ones do. Originally that was my plan, but i switched because some customers where unhappy with the way it looked. This way I've had no complaints... just looking for an easier way to do it for others at my...
I am but only cutting out the numbers area that overlays the scoreboard. So it's still one piece. However the center section of the numbers loses a lot of strength since its only held together by a few narrow pieces.
Right, I do both. I'm the only one with the built in digital scoreboards though so I kind of have to invent the process. 3M IJ 35C
I just bought some clear light tack transfer tape. I'm going to try and just stick that portion over the numbers after I cut it. This in theory should help...
Can you explain what the premasking is going to do for me? I'm not being snarky I'm just not an expert here.
I do it similar to this on the video.
Installing a cornhole wrap - The easy way - YouTube (Without the digital scoreboard)
With the scoreboard I do it the same way, just go a...
I think that's what I'm going to try. It's a good suggestion. It takes me 2-3 minutes to do a board without the digital scoreboards. To do it with the digital scoreboard takes me probably 10 minutes.
Really i'd just like a method so others can do it easier without ruining so many prints...
There's 28 openings per set. If we handcut everything we'd be out of business haha. Also the corners are curved. We could straight cut them, but in comparison to what we do now it took longer and looked worse.
Sorry, I'm pretty much a sign newbie. I'm not a sign shop we only do these boards. I'm not sure what premask is? We just apply the vinyl directly to the finished wood, then spray an acrylic lacquer over everything when finished. Basically I align the graphic on the board. Pull back about 3"...
So right now my current process to apply the vinyl is print, cut, apply. However it's very difficult applying the front wrap after the vinyl has been cut. It's pretty weak around the numbers. (see pictures) The vinyl can stretch, wrinkle etc. I'm pretty good at it and very rarely do I make a...
The contours i'm cutting are not shown on the graphic. I import the contours from a dxf in flexi. Really I have a base file that I use, because the contours are the same no matter what graphic is behind it.
I cut out the segments, that overlay on the board like this.
Ok... So the below graphic is what was printed by someone else (not using flexi). I've added the registration marks via AI, my VE Q100 picks up the registration marks fine. I'd prefer to just do it direct from AI as it would be easier, but apparently the Q series is not compatible with...
I have flexi-pro 10. Due to insufficient use I'm subb'ing my print jobs out for now. However I still would like to contour cut my own printed vinyl. I have a vinyl express q100 cutter.
Is there a way to get flexi to read an outside EPS registration mark? As of right now the registration...
I physically didn't see them run the cleaning fluid through the machine, but that's what they said they did. It was a sign shop that was upgrading to a larger printer, so while you can't fully trust someones word; they did seem to know what they were doing.
The inks are not in the machine. Am I still in bad shape?
Once I do turn it on and put ink in it... any recommendations. Would a weekly small job be enough along with the daily cleaning cycles?
I own www.lightningcornhole.com we make electronic scoring conhole boards. I bought a Mutoh Prismjet and a graphtec Vinyl cutter in a package deal. I've been using the vinyl cutter for about 6 months; haven't even turned on the prismjet for fear of ruining it. (It was used in good running...
