  1. Seaming foam board/gatorfoam for large interior sign

Yeah that will work for the 10' pieces. I should have mentioned I have some even bigger. One that will be 15 feet long.
  2. Seaming foam board/gatorfoam for large interior sign

What would be the best way to seam gatorfoam or foam board in general for a large sign. Lets say I need to do an interior print thats 2 feet tall and 10 feet wide. The front will be printed on ij35c and then mounted. I'm just wondering if anyone has done this. How best to seam a couple 5 foot...
  3. How best to install wide window perf????

Line it up at the top, peel back about 2 inches or so. Cut the backing paper off clean against the window and hinge the top on dry. Roll it all the way up and peel back the paper. If someone is with you have them light up the window with soap and water and then squeegee it down with the biggest...
  4. Fender flare wrap info needed please.

Because this particular print is so busy it might be even easier for you to simply do an inlay on the flat inner of the wheel well and come back with a clean line of knifless tape on top when you start laying the fender. Definitely 1 piece the fender itself though. That video is a little...
  5. Best Practices: Measuring for Design / Laser measuring tool / Smart Phone Apps

I bring my iPad with a stylus pen. Take a nice flat picture. Open it up in "Draw on Top" app and record measurements. This way I can easily add it to the customers folder when I get back to the shop. Heres a pic for example.
  6. Window Perf on Store Front

Trimming on site opens the door to error in my opinion. I'm always going to get a nice perfect line on the table. On the glass outside, another story.
  7. Window Perf on Store Front

Basically zero bleed. Measure exact and trim slightly less than your measurement. Usually the terribly curling perf jobs you see are because people wrap right over the seals and leave them. Saw one just yesterday, wrapped right over the seal nearly onto the pillar lol. Didn't even bother to bust...
  8. Rivet Tools

I love the RollePro for the most part but sometimes it drives me crazy. I use primarily Avery MPI1105 with DOL 1360z. I occasionally get the flat/burn marks when I get the material a little too warm. But if you don't get it warm enough you won't get a nice roll either. I guess you have to find...
  9. Designing to simulate window perf?

I turn down the opacity to 60 percent on my window designs while leaving everything else normal. It helps give a more realistic idea of outcome and I also have printed 5 x5 samples with my name and number on it that I give to the customers too as a point of reference.
  10. First time for this type of job... any advice?

I have done similar signs and the easiest way to do this is to simply wrap around and edge seal with edge seal tape or go far enough to not worry about it at all. You will sleep better at night.
  11. Applying large Pieces of Vinyl To a Dance Floor

Curious what you got for a job like this? About how much per sq foot? Have a similar job and using Oracal 631 because its only for 1 night as well but not sure on pricing as of yet.
  12. HP L26500 with Clear Focus Econo Vue 60/40

Has anyone used this combination before and seen how well it holds up? Manufacturer says 1 year durability. Just curious if you guys are getting any more than that out of it. Prints have looked great and super easy install with it. Any thoughts on it are appreciated!
  13. Avery or 3M Cast Print Settings

We're printing 1105 with the 1105 icc. It is set at 16 pass. Quality is great and colors look good. Should I adjust passes? Is 16 too much for a quality wrap? Thanks!
