Hi,
I have a Chinese printer that I run with both Maintop rip and Photoprint 10.5 (Fleixisign).
I have Photoprint profiles but they could be better.
Photoprint has its own inbuilt profile creating software but the new i1 basic Pro 2 is not listed......
Can the i1 basic Pro 2 be used with...
After reading this I have done the same to my printer, ordered 5m roll of leds from Ebay with a power lead.......going to get some 90 degree joints to do the back and both sides of my laser as well.
Thanks
John
I have a Ricoma ( Feiya) 12 needle machine that came with a floppy drive...I bought and fitted a usb drive.
The stick has to be less than 2gb and formatted with software that came with it so that the drive can read it.

So sorry to hear of your loss.......leaves a huge void in your life.
When you feel up to it look up 2 poems......."If it should be"and "The Rainbow Bridge"

Hi,
I run Flexi 10 with my Mimaki jv3 and Chinese import Tjet printer.
The profiles I hav efor the Tjet are not great so I plan to create my own.
i have borrowed a Spectrocam.
Is this easy to do?Anything I need to look out for?
Thanks
John
I have 2 Refines, Had one for 5 years, one for 3 years and they work everyday.........well set up they are a good tool but set up is crucial for good performance.
As said they are noisy compared to brand names nowadays but no noisier than my first Roland pnc 960 in the 1980's
Despite being...
Although I do embroider I am certainly no expert but after quick look at the logo in question it was clear that the colour fade and bevel were not something I could do.
john
I think you may have to simplify your logo for it to be embroidered.........beveled fonts and colour fades are nice when printed but are not able to be embroidered.
Any vector file can be used by an embroiderer.

on the top of your ink cart ( not the ink bottle) there should be a small breather to allow air in as the ink flows to the head stopping a vacuum being created.........just check that they allow air to flow.

I run a Chinese import DX7 head printer along with a Mimaki JV3.
Lack of support is an issue but I knew this would be the case.
I have found that the capping station adjustment on mine is critical......if it is not perfect a little ink bleeds back into the dampers overnight.......more so if...
Output is as good as my Mimaki......2 pass is perfectly acceptable and at that it will do 28sq metre per hour.
I have had problems with a lack of profiles........I will need to get custom profiles for Photoprint done.

Very interesting thread.......after importing a dye sublimation setup, then a laser cutter/engraver I took a gamble and imported a Tjet solvent printer around 6 months ago.
I went in with my eyes open knowing there would be issues along the way......all in I am happy with my new printer.
It is...
Are you printing via parallel port and not firewire?
If the printer does not get a fast enough flow of data from the computer by default it will wipe while waiting for more data.
John
Using the parallel connection will cause numerous head wipes.......the printer cannot get enough info to keep running so stops and cleans waiting for the computer to tell it what to do next.
Using firewire solves it.
Hope that helps.
