  1. Was asked a question and didn't have a sound answer...................................

A customer has 2 Japanese trucks, from Japan and want to know, if the plastic bumper can have vinyl used that will stick to it ?? It's a 2023 Mitsubishi I originally said no, but she has now asked me for a third time, almost as if someone is saying it can be done..... if I can research it further.

  3. How's crime / theft in your areas these days?

I don't think I have a single soul on the 'ignore' list. I wanna see the progress of these first class yo-yos. Ahhh..... correction....... how stuck in their own way, they really are.
  4. How's crime / theft in your areas these days?

Since the mid 60's...... is all the further I can remember back to as for rioting. This has been an ongoing problem for the entire country and it's still going on. Due to looting, no police direction and other problems, companies have been forced to try to protect themselves from not just the...
  5. A touchy subject

Ha.....my last post before Christmas and it's most helpful, but you still wont see it that way. There's no need to set up a work space in a heavily trafficked area, unless you're trying to impress someone(s). Room or no room, you find the space in the shop, not the front frickin' office. Ya...
  6. Friday Giggles

He's from your side of the world and drunk just like you most of the time. Wanna get a no holds Barred section going again ?? YA-HOO !!! I quit drinking back in 2018. Merry Christmas ya old sot.
  7. A touchy subject

Flaming is the act of posting messages that are deliberately hostile and insulting, usually in the social context of a discussion board on the Internet. No FLAMING of other members. Harassment of fellow board members will not be tolerated and may be subject to immediate banning. The Signs101...
  8. A touchy subject

A showroom is for showing things off, hence the name. People wanna see what things are and how they feel. Making the place into a do not do this kinda place is kinda self-defeating to the place. I've often said, people DO NOT read signs, notices or anything else..... that's why our job is to...
  9. Al Checca

Guy in the middle with strands of green hair.
  10. Al Checca

Yes, you'd know most of them or had heard of them, but Slappy would be better answering that one for ya. I knew them all, but that was 15 years ago and Al, isn't the only who has passed in that photo.
  11. Al Checca

Yep, that's the front of our shop for one of the s101 mixers we held. Al was a great guy and would do anything for ya. He will be greatly missed.
  12. Coroplast Alternative

For what it's worth................. this is from a website all about styrene
  13. Coroplast Alternative

Judging by your profile, you're really not a sign shop, but a little help is needed. Other than Cor-X, there's nothing in the same price range as Cor-X is about the cheapest exterior grade sign substrate on the market. You want smooth, you'll need to step up in your costs. PVC would be your...
  14. Best Canvas that doesn't need Laminating

Keep the printer you have for your aqueous needs and get a 54" something. If you go with 44" you'll be sorry the first time someone asks you for a 4' x 8' banner. Our roland is very good for banners and we don't bother wasting laminate on a banner. Banners are only meant to be used for a year...
  15. Best Canvas that doesn't need Laminating

It's not the media, but the method. You aren't really setup to compete with the many printers which do this sort of thing.
  16. Question Lack of video DIY question

Looking at your profile, it's kinda obvious why you wanna do this. Rather than asking a buncha people who use the machines and fix them on their own, why not ask the correct kinda lawyer and have him research and then you can proceed with your request. Not knowing the end results will not hold...
  17. Strange Problem! Vertical Stripes on ALL heads CMYK Roland VS 640

I don't know the proper identification, but it seems like your inks are starving for a bit and not firing 100%.
  18. Problème d’initialisation de la oce Arizona 360gt

I couldn't follow a single word on this one. You might get better/more help if you get a translator.
  19. Refurbishing a carved/routed sign

With hdu, you'll have to be extra cautious, so as not to gouge things. Mine is redwood and sandblasted, so I have lotsa fins to deal with, but sanded wood is a lot easier. Mine is also gilded, but I told her, I' was only gonna use gold leaf paint. Otherwise, you must get the old gold out 100%...
  20. Refurbishing a carved/routed sign

Doing one myself at the moment. The sign is about 15 years old and slightly smaller than yours. I quoted $ 1,500.00 but said if things go well, it might come down a little in price. The owners are old business & friends of mine. Is it wood or hdu ??
