hi, what profile are you using? You’ve got too much white getting laid down
Heads up, these machines work well but are a LOT less dependable than any other mimaki we’ve ever owned. We have two of them and it’s a constant battle to keep them working
looked back and we purchased ours from Edward Seagul mfg. Feels a bit overpriced but well built and with a long throat grommet it’ll grommet 10mm Coro cleanly and quickly.
we have one of these and I wish it auto-loaded but it feels like it'll last forever and is easy to operate with lots of power. The dies are $$$$ though

We didn't buy it from them, bought it from...
Hi, you might need to do more to account for moisture. I don't do a lot of metal printing but that looks like moisture. Sorry, you might need to do a search but you may need to pre-heat the media and then add some layers of kraft paper or nomex.
Hi, is this a rotary or clamshell? We get this on our rotary from time to time and it seems like it’s usually caused by the Paper and fabric shrinking at unequal rates. For us we try to shorten the length of each piece of fabric we’re feeding and that minimizes it. If it’s a clamshell I’m...
If you're buying this as an entry level machine for a smaller shop I think it's perfect. It's limited in capacity but very easy to use and will cover pretty much anything you need printed plus parts are relatively easy to get. Self repair is hit and miss and I've always thought Mimaki's way of...
we often do a 250gsm fabric for these
we often do a sublimated fabric for these just so it’s lighter and easier to store but 13oz vinyl seems good too.
Hi,
We have TXF and solvent Mimaki's and honestly after a lot of experience with the TXF I'm not sure I'd try to convert a solvent. The TXF has enough issues on it's own handling white ink and it's a purpose built machine for that. I'd imagine that a converted JV300 would be a hot mess. We...
one other thing
Dtf isn’t new. It just got easier and cheaper and more mainstream right when small batch merch got crazy
We’ve been getting dtf transfers for 7-8 years from a company in Brazil who was dtg printing them. We tried on our kornit 4-5 years ago but couldn’t figure out a good film
dtf and dtf ink are pretty much the same thing which has allowed dtf to progress at the rapid pace it has. This has also allowed manufacturers to jump right over to ink that is safe for apparel and usually oeko Tex certified.
Dtf ink is cured via heat as is the powder adhesive so you can do...
there are already a few 48” and wider dtf printers on the market
It’s the white ink side that complicates things but it’s the same whether it’s a smaller or larger printer
You need the ink to be tacky so that the powder sticks so that rules out faster print methods like on the Colorado. A...
We don’t usually do it as it’s a pita but when we did we’d buy ribbon kits from conde systems and heat press them. I think conde is gone but Johnson plus or coastal might have them. You sublimate the ribbon in sections (unless you have a large press or rotary press) and then they have a snap...
we used to buy fabric from a warehouse in cali but I can’t find their contact
If it were me I’d buy overseas but you might ask bannerups if they have any leads. They sell an adhesive set edge tape and I would guess they would know some suppliers. Bannerups makes a lot of large format...
We do a ton of these and outsource the tops all sublimated BEFORE they are sewn together.
Generally you can't sublimate on a finished top even if it's white as the waterproofing often causes it to warp at that higher temp. We've done it a few times though and it was okay.
We offer a quick...
you can control their permissions but yeah they can clock in on the road. For instance we often have people pick up stuff on their way into work and they’ll clock in when they make their pick up. It’s way better than clocking in when they get there and then having to adjust it.
There are...
mytimestation.com
Free for under ten employees
We have an iPad in a stand that they all sign in on. It’s awesome and they can also sign in via the phone app. The phone app is great as they can clock in and out remotely if say they are at an install.
Quick and easy to set up and run reports...
we’re waiting. Most of the stuff we bring in is already tariffed from the last time around so we’re curious how much itI’ll go up. We import tent frames, retractable banner stands, dtf supplies etc. usually 4-5 pallets at a time
Hi,
There are a ton of different things causing this and I’m tine you’ll learn how to tackle them but the most foolproof way to fix this is to rasterize / flatten problem files prior to printing. If you’re flattening in something like Photoshop or illustrator and there are spot colors make...
Hi Just wondering how your new printer is going. We have two of the 300-75's from DTF Superstore and one has been down for almost two months with a similar issue and our second one keeps having a similar issue as well. We keep having full channel drop outs and it'll take a day to get the...
yellowtools has some really nice floor graphic squeegee systems
We had a big mactac non laminated floor decal job a few years back and bought a tennis court roller for $100 and it worked like a charm but it was hard to apply much pressure with it.
