No, it's an actual dual liner so the ink will harden underneath the holes. It looks like 2 layers of perf when you peel it off.

If you use a dual liner perf you will not have those issues. With that being said, ALL my perf is Dual liner so you can run in all machines.

They are really nice machines and great color output. The dry times are very minimal also. I too have heard about issues with the smell of the inks.

Well in my opinion, Latex would be ideal for all your basic signage needs. I honestly feel that I can print onto more substrates than other ink technology and all the pros with Latex outweigh the negatives in my mind.

I personally run a 315 in one of our demo locations, I love it! What applications are you going to be doing with it? It's not great with pastels.

Yes, less maintenance. No banding. No dry times. No fumes. More applications can be done with Latex also. Latex is not a good machine if you are trying to print funky pastels.

LATEX, you're going to be doing daily maintenance with the mimaki. If you dont run it all the time the inks and heads will become a major issue also. The main negative with Latex is the 220v requirements and you cant load small scrap pieces of material. They are also not the best for printing...

Water is the enemy of this material in that application, the dots trap water behind the graphic and will create problems. It will also crack when taking it off in cold weather.
