i plotted the reflective out to lay right on top of the lettering thats printed. we just wanted an extra "pop" for it. the letters are already thin so the reflective will give it that pop. She's doing this as an interim until she can get the full sign redone.
someone emailed through my website about giving away their late husbands andemes dtf printer.
When I responded asking for pictures, she sent me some photos from a facebook with a different name. never even heard of an andemes printer. must be a chinese knockoff...
I have a customer who is doing the bare minimum to replace a sign. We are just wrapping over the existing signage. We are adding reflective lettering on top of the new graphic. I've already printed and laminated the graphic. What I am looking to do is place the reflective lettering onto the...
I'm going to have to see about that one. I think MAYBE i've printed 53. NOW, I HAVE fudged my plotting on occassion. If it gets too close to the edge and my plotter won't read it without falling off, I will add strips to the sides to make it fit in the plotter.
Not sure what you mean by signwriting software. Do you mean graphic arts software? or rip station software?
We use coreldraw for graphic arts and flexi sai software to drive the printer and plotter.
your plotter should have it's own software to drive it.
did you plot with that width as well? I seem to have some sort of "guard" that won't allow me to print beyond 52 (with plotter), but I don't think I've gone past 52 without plottering.
52 includes the registration marks. i don't use the barcode function. but its probably the same as the registration marks. Stacey K , what's the widest youve printed on yours?
I always tell them they must come into the shop and bring cash. Usually it's a number like $20,500 plus tax. Nothing goes into production until after I receive payment and there are no refunds.
I never get a response back.
We schedule a 4 hour block for this install. It may take 1.5 hours or 2. Then it sits in front of the shop for advertising for the next hour until the customer picks it up.
as you gain experience, you tend to not have as many reprints. at least in our shop, that's been the case. our screw ups are fewer and farther in between these days.
