there is member on here named ARTBOT who is a WEALTH of information about CNC machines
also there was a merchant here that sold CNC
http://www.limac.cc/
you are in Canda so our pricing will be a mute point, either way, a rough price would be about 2,000.00 for us.
how are you going to to the golf ball color gradients only using plotter film?
this is a prime example of cutting down to more common sizes. in this case, we would take the 11 x 96 and cut it down to a QTY of 4 pieces sized 6x24 then scrap the rest of the material
we have separate vertical storage racks that we use for this sort of drops regarding substrates.
within these racks, the material is sorted smallest to largest so you can easy see if there is a piece that will work. without fail there will be some odd job that needs a random size and we can fill...
yup and this is why I asked originally what laminations (calendared) others were using or suggestions to compare to what we are getting for life expectancy.
all of our prints get a minimum of 24hrs outgassing, and full ink coverage prints are typically left over the weekend.
Our outgassing...
contact and have an engineering firm run the numbers, that is a big sign at 2500 lbs and will need proper anchorage into the building and the other question is assurance that the building can take this load.
there was a Merchant here that did these services, unsure if they are still around, though.
for us the sign & frames in at $626.
Installation would be about $210
there is no way we would charge $65 for the installation. Permits alone cost us more than that
it depends entirely on the budget, changeable magnetic strips are going easy but heavy
we have found velcro to be a good option. have the rigid backing and then all of the names are done on PVC usually 3 or 6 mm with and velcro backing that lines up to the rigid board
never knew why, but it is always on the end of the rolls and only with calendared material
and yes heat usually works, we always treat it like silvering heat with a gun or place in the back and let the sun cook it
was unsure why they were so adamant about the ABA criteria until you listed the differences
That is what I was thinking and hoping after viewing the two standards.
It is threads like this that really makes one appreciate the help/experience that others are willing to share
:thankyou::thumb:
been looking at the different code standards and I see numerous differences between them but nothing related to signs, tactile or braille.
for those who deal more in this, is there a difference for us sign people?
I can only find the 2004 ABA while ADA has a 2010 version, are these the latest...
since the ceiling is not an option, try http://www.hooksandlattice.com/channel-sign-bracket.html# we have not tried their custom sizes though so I am unsure about the cost.
Like Moze said for this size you will need to stud-mount the sign.
as long as she is paying for the design time / edits then she can have as many changes as she wants.
if she is looking for cheap material and she plans on making the signs herself.
send her here and she can ask how to do it :dog42
Heard back from Tim with Orafol.....
Good afternoon,
Thank you for the photos and your printing information. I have seen this before; we call it solvent migration. It comes from the solvents in the ink not entirely evaporating before laminating. We believe by using the Roland...
