I try to avoid asking them too many questions about who they are in the initial email. I believe many customers want to email anonymously. Once an order is placed I will then ask for business info or at least a city/state for reference. So when they talk about turnaround times I know what time...
The english/grammer is a bit off so perhaps there is a language barrier? I followed up with 2 emails to ask why he made these comments but got no reply
I had a brief email discussion with a customer yesterday and I am puzzled.
His emails are in bold, my replies are italics...
Please let me know how much you will charge for vectorization.
Hello, I would be happy to help you out. I cannot find info on you so I will assume you are a new...
That is why they may be cheaper. Apparently they outsource. I do 100% of the files myself. I am located here in the US. Since I am the only one doing the work, every job is the same quality. If I cannot do a job because it is beyond my capabilities or expertise I will provide a couple of names...
Thank you all for mentioning my name. I really appreciate it. I may not always be the cheapest but I do strive to offer the best customer service and to never let anyone down
Yeah I have played around with it and looked at videos of the results... there is nothing magical about this process. It basically makes your phone a scanner but in reality it is no better than the built in auto tracing software of Illustrator. You may as well just take a photo with your camera...
Did you create the file or was it emailed to you? If you created it, I have no solution. If emailed to you, have the customer resend you the file and maybe they could zip it before sending. Occasionally when I send or receive ai files natively they can get corrupt in the email process
For those of you on Square and manual input the card info... is it only supported on a phone or iPad with the reader attached or is there a website you login to for inputting your customers' card info?
Here is my virtual terminal I am using for Intuit. They recently started charging a monthly...
Square is primarily for swipes but what about manual entry? Does anyone use their same Square account? Does using a manual entry system trigger a monthly fee? I know the rates are higher for non swipe but was wondering if there are any other fees. They are not very informative at their site...
An older Wacom Intuos 3. Love it.
My ideal situation would be a Cintiq 22 or 24 but those are a bit pricey and I really need to try one out before committing that much money to see if it would help further. At the very least, if this tablet fails me someday or I want to upgrade I would go for...
A tablet allows for this type of speed. Constantly clicking and dragging with a mouse makes a job like this take longer. I believe I am 25-30% faster using a tablet vs a mouse
I apologize for the large size. I tried to reduce the file size but not so much that the screen is unreadable
This video is in response to the occasional request for how to create a contour path on a photo to remove a background or for cutting around
I welcome any comments or questions...
I thought we were. The original post was talking about a backup drive which is typically set up to backup/clone the entire drive to allow for a easy reinstall.
But I too am looking into a cloud based backup of my drive for redundancy. My only concern is fire/flood or some other disaster that...
