1. personal preference. I like the way corel handles defaults. If I draw a shape it has no fill, give it a fill and draw another shape it still should have no fill by default. I didn't ask for any attributes from any other source.
If needed, in corel, I can right click and drag one shape...
If I draw a rectangle the default should be no fill with a black stroke. Why after filling the rectangle I go to draw another and it is now filled with the last colors used?
When a shape is filled and selected how can I see the exact color formula without clicking somewhere else?

What size roll is your plotter capable of running?
Police cars, if black, are usually black reflective RTA vinyl. On a black trailer that doesn't need/want reflective then you just print a slightly lighter shade of black with a matte laminate. Might do some swatches to get the desired effect.
Could have easily been me back in the day. I was in charge of the 33d Fighter Wing Graphics shop at Eglin AFB, FL when I retired in 2004. They shut down the shop about 2 years after USAF phased out the Visual Information career field.
I get a lot of 3rd party files that use overprint fills. Luckily I can use my macro in CorelDRAW to remove all overprints. But I question are they really necessary?
Somebody enlighten me.
