This is pretty much what I do. You need to avoid the big "download installer here" buttons and find the little "download font" button. I always make sure it's downloading just font files and nothing else. But I'm always a little fearful that a 75kb ttf file is actually a virus or something...
S80 here. I have been wondering lazily about this too. We are in the middle of a large wrap project where we are printing pretty much around the clock, full rolls, 4-5 rolls a day. We've had to empty the waste bottle twice in the last few weeks, I'd guess about (25) 48' trailer wraps printed...
CradlePoint, I'll have to look into this.
We are currently using a couple verizon wireless usb modems 4G, plugged into a networked router. Speeds are OK, but data is limited to 15 g per month, so we have 2. When those run out we can use the hotspots on our phones or purchase more data. The...
So if we are running Win 7, what's going to happen? Looking for the short story. Is this like Y2K? Am I going to show up one morning and my computer not work?
Or is this more about when buying new puters?
Sure sounds like a lockout to me. Will the end users be given access once warranty expires?
I guess when new printer sales come to a halt, the next step is to force as many of your current customers to pay excessive prices to maintain their equipment. It's a shame, we love our xj540 has been...
Thanks for posting the pics. How long in between pictures of that van?
First thing we did when we got our s80 was print blocks of color for each ink, a few test samples, laminated and unlaminted. They have been on a roof for about 3 months now. Will pull some down and compare to the...
Hammered gold leaf sheriffs stars with black image and text, very thin strokes for some of it. WE have always ovelaid printed clear vinyl on the gold leaf and never had a problem reading crop marks on a roland plotter. with the summa it can't read the marks this way.
Am wondering if there...
How are you printing white reg. marks? Been having trouble with my summa reading reg marks printed on clear and laminated to gold leaf. Was wanting to be able to print white around the marks to block out the foil effect. Is this possible?
I'm curious on this topic as well. We've had our s80 for a couple months now. As a precaution we are running anything outdoors with a CMYK lc lm lk profile, we run the red and orange for indoor stuff. But I've only ever seen a couple different people claiming short life span. We printed some...
We have a s80. For some solid colors like greens and blues in vehicle wraps, we are printing 8 pass, because there is some banding in those areas on 6 pass. I don't run the printers daily, but would like to get them able to run wraps at 6 pass.
Where are you calibrating your media feeds? As...
