As Joseph has mentioned if you're having a clunking noise while it moves, there is a good chance it is the scan motor. You could try the limit initialization to see if that helps too. However, it does sound like a new scan motor is need, especially if it hasn't been replaced in a long time.
I could be wrong, but when I've had this happen in the past and it's happened a couple of times over the years, it turned out to be a tiny crack in the manifold where the dampers connect to the head. Depending how old the manifolds are, there could be tiny cracks. Might also be good to change...
That sounds like the thermistor has gone, as the printer isn't able to heat up to the appropriate temp.
*Edit: The above would be your cheapest option. If that doesn't fix, it means the heating element is gone. You'll have to check the heat settings to find out if it's print heater or the dryer...
Have you adjusted the heat settings for whatever order you're currently printing? Has the temperature dropped in your shop recently? Both our SP-300V's do this and it usually takes no longer then a few minutes, depending how warm they need to go. If you haven't adjusted anything and it's no...
No, don't buy from them. If you have any issues, they'll just blame you and not help at all. Know many others that haven't had a very good experience with them either. Although it would be nice to say buy one from your local dealer, as this is a printer is at end of life, it's getting harder and...
Yes, I believe so. As far as I know, they use the same heads as our SP-300V's. To answer your second question, it is possible to change yourself if you feel comfortable and have some experience doing stuff like that. I would recommend getting your hands on a service manual, as it will walk you...
According to my tech, you're suppose to shake them once a week, gently rocking it back and forth in the trays, then re-insert them into the machine. This use to effect our color output on our SG-300, the colours would change over time and from pouch to pouch. Since I started gently rocking them...
If it's from DIGIPRINT, it's most likely 3rd party and not OEM. Especially if it's in that kit, they are all 3rd party parts, at least all the ones I've bought in the past from them for our printers.
Not that this is the solution, but have you replaced the pumps. It doesn't sound like the problem, as it really sounds like the damper, cap top or air in the lines, however, you've already replaced those parts.
As the BN-20 is the low end model, it is even less suited for printing magnetic media. I still wouldn't recommend doing it with the more production style models either. We did try a while back on our SP-300V and VS-300i and it didn't work out great, even using the manufacturers recommended...
What model are you using? YOu could try pulling ink with a syringe from the line after the cap top to see if it helps any. After the pulling, do a regular cleaning and do a new test print and see if you have any more nozzles firing.
