I've been using my Graphtec plotter for about 15 years and have never had it malfunction. I recently had to replace some parts and the Graphtec support people actually answered me, even with this outdated plotter. I would definitely buy Graphtec again.

Thanks for the replies. I ended up getting the 5100 strip from Graphtec as they told me it would work - and it does. Another supplier told me the 5100 would NOT work in the 4100 cutter. Glad I didn't listen to them.

I would suggest someone who specializes in sign design - have you looked at Sign Amigo. I've not used him but his designs and pricing look good.

The substrate is PVC, which we have been using for about 15 years without any problems. We typically scuff and paint the PVC with one or two coats of acrylic latex paints before rolling on the AquaLeaf. So the top coat is adhereing to the latex paint, not directly to the substrate.

Actually, the photo is upside down so the peeling is at the bottom. The sign is made out of PVC, so there is no concern about the sign not being dry - as PVC does not absorb any moisture.
