  1. Printing Yamaha Yellow ?

There is a certain part of sign making (or bike graphics making) where you have to put in some time and effort of your own to solve problems like color matching. That's why $15 of materials is actually worth $250 from an established company that is able to make consistent products that are the...
  2. Question Mimaki CG-130FXII Not Contour Cutting Properly

We put a piece of premask (application) tape over the registration marks and redraw them with a Sharpie pen when the sensor can't read them. Unfortunately the problem with the cutting going off is due to the media bulging and shifting as the cutting progresses, as well as skew that happens as...
  3. Help Please....stumped

Check for a piece of fuzz on or near the black printhead. Use a mini LED flashlight.
  4. Permit Newbie in Baltimore

I would recommend even before calling the city that you download and print a copy of the city and the county's sign ordinance. You will find many of your answers there. Many jurisdictions put sign permits under their building department, and so you often have to have a contractor's license to...
  5. Printing Shiny (Glossy) on Matte paper

To fix the ink limits you would have to redo the profile. Do you have the equipment necessary to make a profile?
  6. Printing Shiny (Glossy) on Matte paper

To me it looks like your ink limits may be too high. The ink looks like it's puddled up on the media.
  7. Question Letter size paper for SC80600?

If the 80600 is like the 70670, you can't run sheet media. If it cannot sense back pressure on a supply roll, an alarm goes off that it's out of media.
  8. College font

I haven't found that one. But the knockoff fonts that are available are typically named NCAA [the name of the college here] or just the name of the college. https://famfonts.com/tag/ncaa/ https://www.ffonts.net/tag/0/ncaa
  9. College font

That's the one NCAA font that isn't available. And the university branding guidelines don't include that font.
  10. Turn around time..

I can write on a piece of paper with a Magic Marker in 30 minutes or less....
  11. College font

What college is it? Sometimes I have found the necessary fonts, or at least their names, right on the college athletic department's website. Or on the school's marketing department website. There are also some fonts I've found as knockoffs for schools like Nebraska, Missouri, and others by...
  12. Layering ACM for 3D look

    Rivets
  13. Formula 1

Bottas's lack of performance on that final restart using the old hard compound tires illustrated why they went for the tire change on the safety car. With the used hards, once they've cooled it's almost impossible to get them back up to temperature.
  14. Layering ACM for 3D look

3mm isn't going to give you much of a 3D effect. The 6mm will give some, but not much. Here's a sign where we made a 1" difference in level using square tubing. All faces made of 3mm ACM.
  15. Onyx Thrive 19 RIPs 3 different colors from the same file, same quickset

It most likely has to do with color management as the file leaves your design software. You have it set (or the default is set) so that it does one thing to the color when it saves it one way, and a different thing when it exports it another way.
  16. Epson Surecolor 50670 - Carriage Rod Issues

This is what the manual says: Code: 113C Description: CR Motor reversing error The number of occurrences of reversing the CR Motor has reached a predetermined limit. • The polarity of CR Encoder cable is opposite. • The polarity of CR Motor cable is opposite. • Slipping of the teeth of CR...
  17. Need Help Hello from beautiful balmy Brisbane Australia

Textured die....$1000+ would be my guess, Screens for each color printed, etc., etc. They'd need to be ordering thousands, maybe tens of thousands of them to make the unit cost halfway reasonable.
  18. Need Help Hello from beautiful balmy Brisbane Australia

Customers better be ready to either make a large order or pay a LOT per decal. Setup is gonna be killer. If you can even find anyone with the equipment to pull it off any more.
  19. Sign Permit Questions

Were you paid a deposit before you pulled the permit? If not, you probably just wasted your time and money getting the permit. Who made the sign? Maybe you were too slow and someone got it done before you got the permit. Do you know whether the person who installed it had a permit?
