I typed the text. convert to outlines. ungroup. apply gradient. enevelope warp - arc. and it worked.

I have seen one, it wasn't cut vinyl. It was on cheap banner material, but it was pretty scratch free. I was able to take keys, fingernails to it and it didn't scratch.

apply the gradient before arching the text or distorting it, then apply the curve. I just did it and worked perfect.
