Problem Resolved , Previous owners replaced Main Pcb and Slider pcb and did not have the parameters & settings loaded into the new boards . Put the old boards back in and it works and does test prints . Life is good again .

The original 3042's did not have LF-140 inks in the firmware. That was the reason for a work around .

I never did get an answer on this one - I ended up using LH100 chips on LF-140 Original cartridges and using the LH-100 profiles - Needed to clean the Ink Lines with acetone and change the Dampers and it works very well . There is a lot of work involved so dont recommend this unless your a...

Make sure your cartridges are aligned in the slots properly, Make sure they are pushed in and seated , Clean the chip contacts and make sure they are not damaged . Pull the cartridges and inspect the contact boards / wires in the back of the cartridge slots . They should all look the same...
