i get vinylmans frustration, but i wouldn't cut off a supplier for this.
keep calling and drop a few f' bombs when you get someone important on the line, they'll eventually make it up to you...
i usually put the drill so it is perpendicular to the surface until the bit starts to bite, then straighten the drill out to perpendicular to the desired surface.
use a bigger hole, i'd say 3/16"-1/4" for an 1/8" threaded stud. The silicone will hold it.
as far as monitor, i bought a 46" Vizio TV and hooked into it, i love it...
i still have my samsung HDMI 23" monitor as my secondary monitor, love that too

blow out as much as that wall as you can and make huge sliding doors, so when you need the big open space you have it, when you want it closed, you have it...

my local supplier, garston, which hand delivers everyday for me, is usually my vendor of choice.
but, when i can get latex ink cart's, free shipping, for $30 less - i go shopping.
i have 5 or 6 preferred vendors, depending on the product....
i don't care one bit where it comes from as long as it's the cheapest..... in the end, that is the way to maximize my profits.
glantz, cowboy, grimco, garston, etc.... whoever is cheapest.....
