  1. Bubbles When Layering

Burton, that 3M clear back stuff blows. Make 4 squares, cut them on each color, weed/tape, cut right against the corner of the boxes then align the squares as you layer.
  2. Bubbles When Layering

    tex says a little prick
  3. Graphtec FC9000 Changing Conditions?

I don't have a solution but we have had that problem too as well as a million other issues. If you are using CM, double check the cut parameters in there when you export the file. I have had that randomly change to a different cut condition.
  4. File Organization

Pretty cool stuff. I went digging around and saw your logo on onevision. Are you running it?
  5. Is Everyone Tired Of AI

That's what a lifetime of standing on your tippy toes to reach the counter will do to you.
  6. Is Everyone Tired Of AI

Glad to know that your balls are safe and sound in your wife's purse.
  7. Problem with "black streaks" on vinyl material

Not on these. There's a plastic flap that gets little bits of trash built up on it that drags back and forth across the print, no droplets, just faint lines.
  8. Is Everyone Tired Of AI

I don't see how any of this is AI until it becomes sentient. Either way, I find it all annoying. If people can't write their own copy then they probably should have taken the short bus to school like Boudica did.
  9. Hiring Designers for my Sign Company

You also have structural design but I agree with Bob on the semantics, layout sounds less douchey. When some people here say design, I think of the swedish chef from the muppets. Especially when it comes to wraps
  10. Is Everyone Tired Of AI

I can see that being useful but is that really AI? AI is becoming a marketing term for automation that has already been in place. It's ike painting your house gold and calling it the Taj Mahal. I mean, auto and semi auto photo enhancement has been around for decades.
  11. Is Everyone Tired Of AI

I hope this crap works better then the voice menus you get when you call the bank.
  12. Is Everyone Tired Of AI

I think we were thinking the same thing at the same time
  13. Is Everyone Tired Of AI

People are stupid and lazy. Seems like a great idea.
  14. Copying Vintage Old Logo labels for restoring old equipment

It's all fun and games until it takes off. Then it's a job.
  15. Equipment Redundancy - Bad idea to rely on one printer?

That would not surprise me. Being able to self repair is going to be #1 on my list if we ever replace our printer. Glad you got it fixed
  16. Copying Vintage Old Logo labels for restoring old equipment

We do similar work, it's time consuming and tedious especially if you are anal retentive about how your final product turns out.
  17. Equipment Redundancy - Bad idea to rely on one printer?

If those cables aren't real expensive, I'd keep a spare set. For as much as you spend on a service contract, it'd probably be cheaper to skip it and start throwing parts at it when it goes down. That's all they do but at least this way you can do it on your schedule and terms.
  18. Equipment Redundancy - Bad idea to rely on one printer?

You can learn for free if you hover over the techs while they are there. Annoying? Yes. It's more annoying to have your machine down and pay stupid money for people that aren't willing to work past 5 to get it repaired. That's kind of the point of having a service contract.
  19. Equipment Redundancy - Bad idea to rely on one printer?

Unfortunately as machines age, the repairs become longer, more expensive and harder to diagnose. I wont hang onto anything for an extended period of time that I can't fix myself.
