Wasatch small format version will drive your 30" printer- cost is about
$600 if I recall- including cut capabilities. Used it on my SP300V for 2.5 years
and loved it.
I have never seen SR2.2 but I have to believe that the new versions (6.x)
are way superior and run on vista. Gene
Matt is a good guy- hate to hear that.
schurms- where ya from in MN? I guess I would be one of your competitors
with Flexi. We have used it since '97 and made a *bunch* of bucks with it.
I have Estimate 1 and am about to upgrade to 2.0. I believe that it will handle
the estimating end better than what I am using. My concern is with the
invoicing function- does it do what you need it to and is it easy to use? I
read a couple of questions in their support forum that got me...
Mainframe- That is interesting about the error theory- I will keep an eye on that.
I always roll my banners as they come off- but I do it manually on a
homebrew setup with no problems. I also profile- so the ink dries quickly and
I use Triangle inx which dries fast anyway. Also very durable...
I have the same thing on my VP540 (Roland)- it is a function of the rip in
this case (Wasatch) and does not happen with VersaWorks rip. This helps
you not at all of course- but when I saw the title I immediately understood
what you meant- kudos for nailing the description. Gene :U Rock:
Just thought of another thing- the heaters cool off *very* quickly-
for instance- if you cancel a print by the time you send the print again
it takes several minutes to get back up to temp. I run both heaters
wide open btw- so that may take longer. Gene
I am noticing a couple of behaviors with my VP540 that are curious.
The machine seems to slip from 'sheet scan' to 'full width' scan a lot-
I cannot seem to be able to identify when this happens. I print mostly
30" vinyl and if it is not set to 'sheet scan' (menu>submenu>full width...
Stacy- how are the Roland Spot colors working with the RIPC- you said
that you were using your prior profiles, not the new roland profiles, correct?
BSnyder said he was having trouble with the ink puddling with the new
profiles (as I understand it). I updated Vworks but not the firmware yet-...
With the triangle ink I always run the heaters full on- except 54"banners and
a couple of sensitive materials. I love triangle, very durable- I can take a
print out of the printer as soon as it stops and scrub with IPA with little or
no effect.
Thanks Stacy- that is good to hear, I struggled with the Versaworks profiling-
I had a lot more trouble with individual ink limits than when I did my Wasatch
profiling. VP540 and triangle inx for addl problems. Wasatch still has not figured out the problem
that I am having with bad...
Are there new profiles as well or will my old (i1 proof made) profiles work?:toasting:
Last day in So. Texas... so I am gearing up for the real world:doh:
