  1. favorite wrap vinyl

For color change wraps, Oracal 970RA and 3M1080 are the most popular. Both are similar in specs, 1080 is 3.5mil, and 970RA is 4mil. I hear great feedback from customers on both materials, so it's probably just a matter of preference, and what works best for you.
  2. Attaching sign to building...

Tony: Go to this website: http://www.municode.com you can look up signage code in your local area, most municipalities can be accessed here. If you can't find your city listed there, then check this one: http://www.amlegal.com One of these 2 links will help you.
  3. Looking for High tack RA type vinyl

Orajet 3951RA w/290G Lam is good. 3951 has an aggressive initial tack (compared to 3M180Cv3 or Avery 1005).
  4. vehicle graphics lamination

At very least, I would use the Oraguard 215, which is a great laminate. 3551RA calls for 290G, but I know people who use 215 sometimes to cut costs.
  5. Removable wall stickers?

I like Orajet 3268 for die cut graphics on a wall, and 3628 for wall murals. Both products work great, and give off a beautiful print.......as Oracal usually does.
  6. decals for coolers

Orajet 3105HT is the BEST option. It's around .49 cents per sf, super tacky, and you can even get it in a short roll, like 10' I think. Or the 3951HT is the cast version of 3105HT, but much more pricey. People use 3105HT for just about ANY hard to stick surface.
  7. Oracal 631 vs 3628 and Oracal 651 vs 3164

There are plenty of other good brands out there. In my personal opinion, I think Oracal makes the BEST vinyls for the money. Their economy and intermediate vinyls are just as good as 3M or Avery, but always cheaper. Oracals wrap vinyl are close to same price as 3M, whereas Avery is cheaper...
  8. Attaching sign to building...

Use the aluminum spacers I told you about. The spacer will lift it off the fascia, cut the spacers however long you want them (1", 2", etc.), place them behind the sign and run the bolt through it. If you want to do the bracket instead, you can pick it up at Home Depot, just a simple L type...
  9. Adhesive removal on pan face?

Signmaniac: There are 2 chemicals I know of, that will work for this. Either "GROG Gel" which is odorless, and is applied directly to the vinyl itself. OR Vinyl-Off 10-4 It's a biodegradeable vinyl remover. Apply it to vinyl, wait 10-15 minutes, then scrape off. It's like $75 a gallon...
  10. Conformable Application Tape

Transferite makes a product like this
  11. Attaching sign to building...

When I did permit drawings for the Sign Company I worked for, it was MY responsbility to KNOW the code for which municipality the sign would be installed, and this knowledge was incorporated into the permit fee, which the customer paid. Usually $500 for non-electrical permit, $600 for...
  12. Anyone know of a supplier of inexpensive "Polypropylene Header Bags" ?

You can also check with Indy Imaging in Indianapolis, IN.
  13. Vinyl for color change

Thanks for the advice Gino. Not sure what's even involved in becoming a Merchant Member, but I'll look into. I honestly wasn't even trying to troll for new accounts, I have plenty already, and stay very busy!! :-) I love to read, I learn from it, and I also love to be helpful, and offer...
  14. Thinking of buying the SignWarehouse Vehicle Wrap Kit

kstompaint: As an outside sales rep for Fellers, thank you for the kind words! :clapping: Prior to working for Fellers, I was also in the industry, and I ordered all my materials from Fellers for those exact reasons. Customer service, and great prices. Thanks again, I always love reading...
  15. Oracal 631 vs 3628 and Oracal 651 vs 3164

"In india we get 631 and 3628(this is only white). We are using 3628 for print-cut decals. How about the durability for indoors? We also print-cut on 631. Which is the better option?" You should NOT be using 3628 for print-cut decals. Instead, you should be using 3268. 3628 is 3mil and...
  16. Chrome Vinyl for Vehicles?

Patentagosse: It must depend on where your located. A few vendors in the Florida area sell Avery Chrome by the yard. That way, you order exactly what you need with minimal waste.
  17. Chrome Vinyl for Vehicles?

Haakon: I understand your point. As far as Oracal 970RA, I would just suggest to a customer to use Oracal 751. People put Oracal 651 Polymeric Calendar vinyl on vehicles all day, but......your not suppose to. First, it's calendar (it WILL shrink over time), secondly it has permanent...
  18. Chrome Vinyl for Vehicles?

The longest lasting option would be the new Avery Conform Chrome, which is intended as an accent film for vehicles. Lots of my customers actually wrap entire vehicles with it, some even laminate it to 3M180Cv3 to make it easier to work with. The stuff is NOT cheap, it will run around $6.75 per...
  19. zeelon 130oz

Ultraflexx is a great product. I personally used both brands myself in the past, and I couldn't tell much of a difference in the quality, durability, or even print quality. Ultraflexx = (13oz, 9x9 1000x1000 Denier, Flame Resistant NFPA 701 and CA Title 19) Zeelon = (13oz, 9x9 1000 Denier...
  20. zeelon 130oz

I'm a sales rep for Fellers, and I'll tell you that you won't find it. Zeelon is our "house brand" just like every other distributor have their own house brand as well. Grimco = KEY Banner. Fellers = Zeelon. etc. etc.
