might want to reboot and access your bios and make sure your serial port(s) are enabled
i know this sounds funny but i was having trouble communicating with my graphtec 410075 when i first set it up and COULDN'T, for the life of me, figure out what was wrong - the port was disabled :doh:
it's quite hard to believe that someone who has been in the industry has not had to 1. inquire about full color printed graphics for a customer/project 2. ordered something from a wholesale printer.
i learned flexi yeaaaaars ago without any experience in any graphics/cad program and the learning curve was fair.
but
when i went from flexi to signlab, that was tough - but once mastered, i felt it was unbeatable. however now all layouts are done in adobe illustrator and exported to flexi.
i think i've used illy soo much that i can't even figure out what you're asking
shift+ctrl+f9 brings up a window called pathfinder like rick said
make sure you're not working with non vector elements, that may be one reason the pathfind option ins't available

hah- funny you would say that, i noticed that GraphixCALC was built on an access platform and was just considering relearning it for that purpose.
