  1. St. Louis sign supply vendors

R&J definately. If you don't like the feel of Grimco's conglomeration, give your business to the small business to keep competition alive! After all, most of us are small business.
  2. Want to sandblast signs

We have a CNC and a sandblaster. The sandblasted signs take more time as far as prep and cleanup. Instead of sandblasting, we try to sell textured backgrounds: smalt & cnc textures. All in all, I would much rather not do sandblasting, but some insist on it so it is worthwhile to offer...
  3. Logo design - before and after

Thinking outside the box, is there any way to tie in a Kitchen or Bath Graphic like a faucet or something? Maybe make the cloud morf into a faucet. Just exploring... Also, if they want to keep the "and", how about giving it some motion? Your update definately takes the 80's feel out of...
  4. Arial vs Helvetica

20 of 20. Just an all around better use of negative space!
  5. Window Perf

We use Clear Path as well with no issues. Perf must be laminated, or rain drops will gather in the perf and obscure vision! Clean the window thoughougly using 50/50 water/rubbing alcohol solution. Make sure window is lint free and clean! Pay careful attention to removing moisture from all...
  6. Vinyl as a stencil

However, vinyl is useful when painting on concrete walls! Have used it with a sprayer with good results.
  7. Gerber Sabre 408

We run the Gerber Composer & Artpath programs to operate our 408. Ditto Signdog. We also tape a piece of paper to the vaccuum. It will flap when running. It's hard to hear it running with all the noise and ear protection.
  8. 4x4' rent signs

Agreed. Sticks & Stones...but useful help is hard to find.
  9. Need your opinion - Magnum magnetic material

Yep, all 4 is an amazing coincidence! I'd replace the 4 at half cost-(you're a good guy but not a sucker), explain with the above info what might be going on, and suggest permanent graphics as the best solution.
  10. Cold Weather Glass Application Advice

Window Perf works the same as vinyl. Dry install. Just make sure the Perf is cut about 1/8" from the rubber seal on the window.
  11. Crease in sandblast

So you got a wrinkle in your glass-etch vinyl. Any wrinkle is a redo.
  12. Big Squeegee a HUGE Help!

Dale, We have several different sizes of the Big Squeegee and they all come in handy! The smallest I have used on everything including windows and vehicles. Thanks for the discount!
  13. Cold Weather Glass Application Advice

Just did it dry on a window this past weekend. It was 35 degrees & everything turned out fine. My modified 10" Big Squeegee came in handy on the larger graphics. I cleaned the glass with a razor to get off any paint. Any adhesive residue on the window was addressed with All-Off or Rapid...

  16. Wrinkles and bubbles in application tape???

We tape the graphic to the cutting table using painters tape. Unroll a few inches of the transfer tape and secure it to the table. Getting it flat is the trick! I lightly tack the middle edge of the transfer paper to the table and place the big squeegee on top of that and slowly work the tape...
  17. Glitter Glass Background

Ahh...Letter application: We route our letters separately and gold leaf them. On the smalted substrate we have the same letters with about a 1/8" contour border that are raised and flat. That is, when the gold leafed letters are mounted, they are mounted to the raised flat letters on the...
  18. Taping Vinyl Rolls Not In-Use (and other media)

    Transfer Tape!!!
  19. Estimate Software

I would see if you could buy an old version of Estimate 2 that doesn't have a monthly fee. It seems this is an excessive fee, at least to me, for Estimate 2011. That is why we still run on the old version. Since you have used the old version in the past, I would put pressure on Estimate to...
  20. How to get better Vehicle Graphics??

Your site is full of good designs. Some do not look like your own...Dan Antonelli's. Unless you want to hire an employee, as suggested, I recommend reading up on some of Dan's stuff. He's got quite an archive with SignCraft Magazine.
