  2. HP 5000 help please

Bob, can you advise on this? I haven't looked at Web Access in such a long time that I can't even remember off the top of my head. All I know is it's really cool!
  3. My New Mac....

Absolutely! I have both a PC and MacBook Pro laptop. I have to use my PC when I go onsite to profile or do consultations, but my Mac is my primary. It's funny because I grew up on Mac then had to switch to PC when I went to college because everything was Windows-based. And then about 2 years...

Right now it only comes in a 48" or 64" model. The 48" model has been discontinued and the 54" has been introduced. Exact same technology, just a more ideal size for an entry-level solvent printer, especially if you want to tackle vehicles.

I agree with iSign. If you have good technical and color management support from your dealer, it's amazing what the technology can do. 8. Driver for Valuejet 1604

Flexi (PhotoPrint), Wasatch 6.2, or Onyx 7.0 are the only RIPs I'm aware of that are compatible with the ValueJet at this time...

  10. Driver for Valuejet 1604

No, it has to be networked to a RIP. The "driver" is a virtual printer port but you cannot print directly through it.

That's a good point Bob, I forgot about Web Access. It's really handy!

Depending on your turnaround time on when you'd like to purchase, I'd recommend the new 54 Mutoh ValueJet that's coming out at the beginning of next year. If you need something much sooner, our customers have had lots of success with the 64" Mutoh ValueJet. Good luck!
  13. HP 5000 help please

In regards to a RIP software, I'd recommend Wasatch. You can get a nice HP-only edition with 6 months of free tech support for about $1,500.
  14. HP 5000 help please

Not true. You can still print through the HP GL/2 driver (non-ps) in all Adobe applications, but it doesn't ensure color consistency like the ps version of the driver. You might want to verify that you have the right driver installed from HP's website or check your parallel settings. I'd...
