Thanks steve.. I actually just grabbed that. When I met the SAI rep at an open house he was saying that I could PRINT right from Illustrator too, just using the production manager.
"an recoverable system error has occurred" is all that comes up when I try to open Flexi. I uninstalled and reinstalled but no luck. Still wont open. Any ideas?
I was at an open house today and with a "SAI" rep. I was explaining to him some of my problems bringing Illustrater files into flexi. He suggested that I try to print right from Illustrater.

I originally had the same problem with my machine. Same one. I had to reprint numerous sets for customers.. Not happy.
If its on anything other than your mx stuff... I don't know what to tell you.
If it's ONLY on the thick laminated mx stuff.. I have a process that stops it...
I powered down and got ready to try this combo.. When the machine powered back up the ink fill started.. hmmmm, It didn't do it the first 2 times I restarted..

Well, I'm not in the clear yet.
Santiago at signwarehouse walked me through a troubleshoot which fixed the all black printing.. No idea what caused it though. Maybe an empty cartridge that didn't register with the printer and caused a vacuum effect on the ink in the lines??
So after we got...
the cartridges are all in the correct slots. they were untouched in the first place, which makes it all the more wierd.
I just did a headwash and put the cartridges back in.
Now i'm getting a "[kcmy]discharged" error. grrr. frustrating
I'll go that route tomorrow morning.. Just all seems odd that this happens right after I replaced that black cartridge. This machine is 1 year old this week, If there is already something major wrong with it?? Well, I would be totally disappointed with this manufacturer.
