I need some #10 business envelopes printed with my return address (logo). Anybody know of a good source?
  2. Un-Freakin-Believable

I dunno. Here a while back, persons of a certain ethnic origin sparked a huge alarm when they dang near cleared the shelves of a certain brand of video game. Rumor had it they were taking them apart, removing some of the chips and using them in other "entrepreneurial" ways.
  3. Quarterly Business Taxes...

Typically, we're looking at around 15% for self-employment taxes. That's just on business profits only. Income taxes are another story.
  4. Wasteful Fonts!!!

MYTH BUSTED: I think ink density had a lot to do with this. Just look at the difference from top to bottom...they obviously get darker as he works his way down.
  5. Quarterly Business Taxes...

Ouch, I just $ent them off today. It $eems like a penalty for making money. I gue$$ the only thing wor$e would be not making any money at all.
  6. signlab trouble...not sure

Sounds like a major case of the gremlins to me. I occasionally have issues with SignLab, but ususally it's more operator error than not. Sounds like your trouble may have to do more with something configured incorrectly, or OS issues. Jump on CadLink's tech forum and do some...

Welcome from "just down the road".
  8. Negative Comments, What to do?

Seems like this thread is getting closer to coming full circle...in more than one way, perhaps.

    BTW...I taught HS for 6 years...BTDT.
  10. Negative Comments, What to do?

Sorry for being a :thread, but I had a few of those teachers myself, and looking back, I can't see anything wrong with that...obviously with in reason, though. Most, if not all the kids I went to school with were relatively obedient and quite respectful of teachers and administration...AND so...
  11. Negative Comments, What to do?

Yep...I remember that one well, and it's near and dear to my heart. When I was a kid, my sweet little grand-mom visited us for two weeks and she always corrected my brother on that one....seems like I heard it a thousand times. I can still hear her soft voice correcting him, and I can...
  12. Need a grammar question answered

Ditto to the singular noun. Collective nouns are also treated as singular nouns (Army, Orchestra, Church, School, and so on).
  13. Is this a font?

    Ditto on Rapier
  14. Yet another Signlab question

I had the same problem at one time, and looking back through my notes from 2008, I fixed it by resetting the warning dialogs. You can reset the warning dialogs by clicking on OPTIONS> SIGNLAB SETUP> GENERAL PREFERENCES> RESET WARNING DIALOGS The next time you do a text alignment and it...
  15. Are you a tracker or non-tracker?

I think you need to keep it all in perspective. One wise man once said to me: "Know your costs, and you'll make money by default". Splitting hairs isn't the most profitable thing to do when business needs tending to. I think the most important thing is to use a system that works...
  16. Hey, I have an idea...

Gino- The little fella had seizures...the writhing washing machine seemed to bring back old memories...kinda sick....I know.
  17. this seems odd to me

You need a business CONSULTANT, not a counsellor. You need someone who has worked in this industry, someone who knows the ins and outs, and who can guide you with experience. I've tried the types of counsellors you're talking about, and while they mean well, they just don't have the...
  18. Hey, I have an idea...

We used to have a cat that did something like that.
  19. tapered Ballnose supplier in Canada

You can use the tapered side of the endmill to cut angled surfaces instead of having to step profile them with a straight ball nose cutter. This results in much smoother surfaces and a lot of time saved.
  20. Rolls Roller

Correction....I thought it was a flat bed cutter.
