Hello!
I just picked up this Mutoh Falcon Outdoor 48. It's been completely rebuilt, new pumps and heads. As you can see, the color in this decal is almost completely black when it should have a light green gradient in the lettering. And there are tons of little black lines around the perimeter...
Just picked up a Refurbished Mutoh Outdoor printer. It came with Flexi Print SE and the dongle for Mutoh. I assume this
Is just for print. What should I use for cutting?
This last week I had a job on an awning. Needed to add some new lettering. Typical vinyl adhesive was worthless on this particular type of fabric. After some asking around my local supply company pointed me to the product Dac-Tac: http://www.flagspolesbanners.com/dactac.html
I have no clue...
I make stickers, but I'm not sure what you mean by "sticking a roll of 641 in and print / contour that, I mean actual paper backed indoor/outdoor full color"
I print/cut stickers and do die-cut stickers.
If I could get a 46" Mutoh Falcon for $1000, completely gone through and refurbished, is that a good way for me to start out? Or, would it be better to buy the $3800 JV3 that may need some work in the near future?
Is a laminator with "heat assist" important? When would I use "heat assist"? If I do tons of decals, some signs and truck wraps, do I need heat assist?
I have a 64" printer on order, and I already have a 54" Summa cutter with Opus. Will I be using 54" material for doing pickup wraps? The reason I'm asking is my sales rep is trying to sell me a 64" RS Laminator. They are so expensive! And at the moment, I can't every think of an instance in...
I see. So as far as reliability, and print quality you would say that the JV3 is better also? I do have a lead on a 6 year old JV3 160SP for $4000. But the 10 years old Roland print/cut for $3k sounded nice also. Isn't the JV3 a pretty high maintenance machine?
The HP L25500 seems pretty popular these days. With latex you don't have to wait to laminate your print for outdoor stuff. I've seen quotes around $16k brand new. Not bad for a new machine.
