we have seen this before and it usually is caused by the cut contour being an incomplete circuit. if you go into the design zoom in and trace the lines, there will probably a missing node also just to make sure the top layer is the cut contour color and you are not flattening the file during...

If you are only interested in the smaller size items, look at the RICOH printers for the larger stuff Epson is tried and true

if you are worried about the seam; reduce the length to 10' and use a single panel use Lexan, and have it cut at 12' Length seriously though 28" x 12' is one odd sizes sign for placing on a building
