I have noticed that 3-5 passes of the print head before it stops printing, it starts pausing when it returns to the control panel side of the printer. Don't know if this is of any help to diagnose the problem.

I did update the firmware on the printer yesterday and printed a file that had been stopping half way through with success. But this morning had the same problem again. I'm going to get rid of my malware & cut off firewall/antivirus and see what happens. Thanks for the reply.

I just remembered aweek or two ago it stopped and said on the LCD display something like "MOTOR ERROR...TURN POWER OFF". Maybe this has something to do with it???

I would use a jig saw for 1-2 signs, but if there are 3 or more I would sub out to someone with a CNC also. If I have 2 same size, same shape signs, I clamp 2 pieces together and cut them at the same time.

Most jobs we do that require using the take up reel are removed after printing and laid out on our work table to out gas over night. If we have several jobs printed we stand them up wrapped around the core vertical and make sure they are loosely wrapped so that they can still out gas.

I bought a US TECH AK-600 65" cold laminator and haven't had any problems with it. I believe right now you can get one for $2300 delivered. They also have a heat assist 65" laminator for $4900.

I'm not very familiar with the profiles or profile center. I do know that it is printing better on the matte 3M IJ35c that I use a lot of than it is the glossy Avery 1005 wrap vinyl. I have gotten it to print a solid black by overprint to 2, but I know it using a lot more ink than it should have...

Just remembered we did empty one of the black cartridges today and installed a new while printing a banner. But everything finished up good on the banners. After a few hours we changed the material out and started printing the Avery 1005, that's when I noticed the speckled black. Any chance...

I also changed vinyl after the banding and it's the same way.

The black I always use is 100% C,Y,M & K.
