You may find it is a static problem, do you have the machine earthed with a wire strap to the wall or floor. That fixed the same problem for me.

Run X5 & 64bit 7, 4g ram works ok but sometimes takes a long time to save stuff and if you get to impatient and mouse click x5 crashes.

Ok, maybe this is a really dumb question but what is the advantage of unlocking the service code? i have done it and printed out various things like history etc, but what else can I do.:iamwithstupid

thanks guys, I don't think my centre heater is shutting down I have switched it off at the front panel overnight and will see what its like when I open in the morning.:thankyou:

Hi all, Can anyone tell me if the printer heater(the top one flat under the Vinyl)should stay really hot even when the printer is in sleep mode, seems like a waste of power. Thanks in advance.

Hi I use an XC540 with X5 never had any trouble, upgraded from X3-X4 to X5. Think it must be a setting issue in X5, sorry can't be of much help.

12mtres on XC540, on long prints I roll the media almost right through the full length on to the take up roll just for piece of mind.:scream:
