Thanks all, I dont think I will be spending the $210 for the card on ebay ,lol. I always hate buying things like that off of a auction site , You never know if they will work or not I am hoping the new print server will take care of the problem. we will see ,lol

So, we went to best buy and a few other stores and couldnt find the correct card but I did order a new p105 print server . My thinking is that at least we will be up to date on the firmware end of things and after Talking to Tom from SEH , It sounded like the print server I have is out of...

It does not have a port. Just the parallel port . I am thinking it was just a option . so I wonder if I installed a Ethernet card ,which it has a space for , would i even need the print server? and would this end all these issues?

oh and I talked to mutoh and the usb / parallel will not work. It was a thought . I talked to SEH also and we worked on it for about 2 hours and he is calling me back on monday ....... :-( I am looking at the service manual and it is showing one also ????? Network IP...

When I did a set up sheet , It came up with its own Ip addy . I dont know what this means ,lol

I have sent a message to Mutoh and SEH to see if they can help any. I am starting to think it is the main board. Here is why 1) I hooked up the printer with parallel port and it still didnt print 2) print server is "pinging" back 3) printer reads "receiving" I just question The "convert...

I first need to get the printer see the info before I can dedicate any PC or other to it . Right now , all I am getting is the printer screen saying Receive [port1] convert [port1] then back to "plot Ok" no other codes show up .

I tryed this with parallel to usb and it didnt work, but that could have been me ,lol. I dont know if the driver was loaded correctly on my laptop. Bobby said that this method would not handle the info fast enough and could cause issues .

now have hooked up with a parallel to usb cable. printer is showing up as a unknown device ..... Getting a 43 code ( from what i read - corrupt data) Anyone?????
