Some of the sign shops around here have been starting to stock the Facebook, Twitter, and LinkedIn acrylic word plates from Wagner. They seem to be selling nicely. :)

Yeah, I don't think it can be sandblasted. (Sorry, I just now caught in your first post that the customer needed/wanted the substrate sandblasted.) It's made from polypropylene resin. Mostly Stinger Coroplast is used for Heavy-duty or semi-permanent signage, outdoor signage, hanging signage...

Stinger Coroplast? First thing that came to my mind when reading this was Stinger Coroplast. It's pretty cool stuff--Environmentally friendly, non-yellowing, weather resistant. It's pretty sturdy, and usually comes in a 5 mil thickness.

If the front doors were made out of aluminum the magnetic wouldn't stick. Maybe this was what happened with this one...?

Was the magnetic rolled with the magnet side out? If it was then that can lead to air pockets and bubbles that can weaken it's holding strength and give you those curled corners.
