I have a customer that wanting to use a font similar to the one in this picture. Everything I have and have looked at, isn't even close. I know this is a hand drawn logo, but there has to be something that is really close. Can someone please take a look and see what they think will work...
Hey guys, I have a question about a job that I have been asked to quote.
This company has asked me to price around 40 shirts, with 5 colors on the front and 3 colors for the back. I'm still kind of new to screen printing but I am able to do multiple color jobs. My question is this...would this...
Can someone please help identify the 2 fonts in this picture. I have a customer that is
wanting to use these for a new logo and likes the way these look.
Unfortunately I have tried to do that with some of the local companies. I've asked for advice and help in several areas from the local shops. But they seem to feel threatened and astonished that I would even ask that of them. If I were to go to one of the local shops, they would attempt to...
It's ok Marlene. I know the rules and regulations in each state are different. But I will definitely make another trip back to the customers location.
I know I need to see behind the wall to see how it was built. I'm hoping that it was built with 2 by's and wrapped with plywood on that curved...
Where did you start 35 years ago. With my experience in the industry...it was at the bottom. You didn't start out as a large shop.
And if you did, you either bought it or inherited it. You didn't have the knowledge that you have now. You learned new things,
you took advice from others to do...
Yes...my overhead is lower than the larger shops in my area. Yes...I would try to quote this job as close as I possibly could to the larger shops in my area.
No...That is that undermining them? Because everyone has a fair shot at placing the bid for the job. Yes...My profit margin would be...
For starters, thank you for your advice. With your experience, I would really like to sit down with you sometime to learn more about the business.
Secondly, I don't cut corners. As I said...I take pride in what I do. I don't undermine or undercut larger shops in my area, that's bad for...
License or not. I pride myself on my work. I always want to make sure the job is done correctly and professionally.
That is why I'm on here asking questions to other professionals who might have installed a sign on a surface like this.
I'm not trying to pass myself as something I'm not, and definitely not trying to be unethical or do anything illegal. When I say I have done electrical, I truely mean that. I have wired houses, breaker boxes, and cabinets. I'm not new to the electrical side. I was looking for advice on the...
TN is the same. We don't have to have a certain license to install electrical signs. The main line has to be run by an electrician, then the connection, then everything has to be inspected and sign off before the job is complete.
Their electricians are running main electric line for the sign. I have done electrical before,
so I'm not worried about the electrical. I've just never installed can letters or standoffs
individually.
To be honest...No. I mainly do commercial vehicle lettering, car wraps, and window lettering. I have done
a couple of channel letter signs, but they were on raceways and sent to me assembled. Installation
for those were rather simple. But I got the call to come quote the job, and this being...
I do think they have an access for that. And there is power to light underneath.
So on can letters, I would drill through the back of each can and run the electrical
from the back side to keep the job clean?
The other option they wanted to look at is laser cut aluminum letters that are...
