  1. Advertix - ideas for a "logo"

I´m about to do some changes with my business and I need to have an other name/logo for the signmaking/advertising part of it. The name for this segment is Advertix and naturally I need to design a new layout for it. I´m on the fence here. Partly I´m leaning towards the look from Asterix (you...

  4. nina kafe logo design

Yes Neato, these are a good example of a logo. Purely text that has a specific character that differentiates the business from others. Not signs... Definately they can be used as a sign.
  5. nina kafe logo design

Bob, actually you are very wrong. If you want to be exact, the original meaning of a logo is unique and identifiable text (for example Coca-Cola ). When you add a symbol to that text (or loose the text altogether) it becomes symbol (like Puma). Logos Vs. Symbols Although most people call any...
  6. nina kafe logo design

I see your point but the wishes from the client were very specific and I followed them as much as possible. Original iea was given to me As I said, it´s the first draft and I¨was thinking to work on it still but if the client is happy... I agree on the slant of the nina, I should give it a few...

Here´s one that I´m working with now. Customer was very pleased with this first draft and I´m thinking I may let it be as is. What do you say? (Please remember that I´m in Finland and designing for finnish businesses.)
  8. Oraguard 372 installation

Hi, I have a few I-bond sheet (1 meter x 1 meter) to cover with Oraguard 372 (you know, anti-graffiti film) and I can´t use a laminator. What´s the ideal way to do this? I did the first of them wet but it was not fun. The film is so thin... EDIT: Done.

  10. Converting a CDR-file to an older

Customer sent me this Ford Ranger logo that is in never cdr-format and I can´t get it opened. Can someone convert it to x4 compatible format? Or eps?
  11. Mutoh rockhopper 38 dead

Sorry that I can´t help you (yet, at least) but my Rockhopper 46 died an hour ago! Left it printing and went outside for a moment and when I came back it was dead. No lights, nothing! Haven´t started to figure what´s wrong but might do it later today if I got the time. Hopefully it´s a fuse...

  14. So basic, but yet

Is this close enough? Oh, did you mean you had a lot of text on that same typeface? :banghead: Then I´m sorry, can´t help you
  15. Calibrating print length?

Thanks, I tried to look for it (Signlab 8 / Visual Production Manager) but didn´t find anything suitable. I think that it might be in the printers end...
  16. So basic, but yet

Looks pretty easy to recreate from scratch. I do that every now n then when I can´t easily find the actual font. Sometimes it actually saves time...
  17. Calibrating print length?

When I print stickers to be contourcut in shape, print is slightly less in length than the original file. I mean that when I try to print let´s say 1000mm (file) then the actual print is 996mm. Now, when contourcutting using three reg marks the cut is not exactly where it should be. How shall I...
  18. Who has the coolest beer (soda) fridge in their shop?

I don´t have a picture at hand but I have an old FIAT (from the -60´s). I also have (in my "man cave / music room") a Rosenlew fridge from the 50´s, you know the one that looks like a VW Transporter from that era. Both work just fine and are in daily use :rock-n-roll:
