Make the shadow>break apart, select the shadow and pick a color,while the shadow is selected cut & paste it untill you get the desired effect. Your first shadow can be white then paste a color on top of it.

Use the drop shadow tool then hit ctrl K to break apart shadow and the+ key on the num. pad will duplicate it to make it more opaque. You can also use the contour tool to give it a hilight.
So you are just changing the lettering, not the clip art.It would look different,depending on my mood at the time. I qualify as a newbie compared to most here.
Your best result would probably be the masking tool in photo paint. adjust the feathering.It will take some playing around with to get the desired effect
I have some color issues with client supplied artwork done in illustrator, opened in corel that were not there when opened in illustrator. There are workarounds,but if you are working from client supplied artwork,the best bet is to have every program available
I'm just trying to figure out potential problems,the one i posted didn't work.It was an imported EPS. It seemed to work when I upgraded & ran through the new features.
I guess I don't know what I'm doing,but the result in the new version isn't up to standards as opposed to other programs. I got it to work fairly well once.
