How many spots is it? is it all over the whole van? I would tell the customer the best option, fix it, but if he wanted to proceed, scrape off as much paint that wants to come off but not before telling him xx$ to do so.Some people really just don't care about the condition of their vehicle and...
I have a guy in Laurel that does it at his house. He's been doing it for a long time. He is pretty good and a nice guy. shoot me an email I can get you his number. kwiksign@gmail.com
he just did a repair for us that a customer brought in. he fixed it in a couple days. It was broke in 5 places.
i mean, how jagged is it? Is it noticeable from 5'? 10'? When you design in photoshop on a bad wrap template, the final output is 72dpi. maybe that is why
You can do it in layers if you are worried about something lining up. I try to keep overlays minimal because I don't want to have to worry about other pieces when I finish a wrap but overall I think they don't look out of place. And don't assume that vinyl will come off without damaging the...
.5"-1". I usually go less than 1" because I think it looks cleaner. In one instance, I was contacted by a company to do an install and they sent me the wrap with 2" seams. It looked really odd. The seams might bother you but looking at the pictures you can't tell where they are. And nobody is...
yeah, I know what you mean. I just pull it tight and work it slowly around the curves, but I do the top corner like i stated earlier, and I do the corner first before getting it to the break in the body.
Also, never, ever do a "butt type" seam.
I was referring to the truck not the hummer. The hummer would depend how it was designed. The hummer looks pretty easy. That extrusion I would just work it around onto the roof, going inside the groove not gap and heating it in.
The truck cab, the roof is a separate piece. Sometimes I even put...
you don't need heat to wrap that top corner, nor should you use any. you want to pull the vinyl towards the roof on top and down towards the glass. sort of away from the corner in both directions. you should be able to get it to lay flat on the corner and then work it away from the corner in...
if you don't have a preset with the different options to increase the passes, go to driver options and you can increase the passes from there. Make sure the other settings don't change.
I have a customer that wants to get a wrap, but needs some extensive artwork created. I do not have the time to do it. Can anyone suggest a designer that can create realistic artwork? It will be steampunk themed artwork and I have some examples of what he wants. Right now I just need to get in...
Now that you have your lamination problem figured out... i would recommend buying some sort of stand alone air conditioner... You are going to be miserable trying to install a wrap in 90 degrees. it makes everything extremely difficult
