if you're like me and get whacky ideas to try and see the grid pattern fluorescent ceiling light diffuser panels at Lowes or Home Depot and think "hey I bet I can use that as an acrylic honeycomb because it's way cheaper", I'll save you the trouble of finding out yourself that your pieces will...
Bumping this to the top. If you've any interest hit me up, I need the space back sooner rather than later. Location just outside of Gainesville, FL. Open to offers at this point. And like I said I am more than happy to be a resource to the buyer to help them get up and running in pretty short...
I'm glad I read all the way to the last sentence because I was like, "OMG he's cutting vinyl on his laser. Wonder if he doesn't know or is obstinate?" :roflmao:
I'm pretty sure that's just because the dry erase ink in the marker is solvent based. You're just rubbing a felt nib full of solvent onto the other ink. Seems like there may be more economical ways to do that but what do I know.
I've been running cut master 5 v 1.0.272 FWIW. It's quirky like the other CM versions but is running fine on my mac. One thing I do absolutely HATE is that for some stupid reason the default "command Q" to quit the program doesn't work like on every other piece of mac software ever made, and I...
sorry aluminum reflective. like standard street name at the top of the post on every corner except these are reversed color (white with green lettering) because it's private roads. I'd likely buy the reflective blanks from grimco or whomever and cut/apply the reflective lettering myself out of...
there's a ton of info on youtube I'm sure with a little effort you can figure it out. I think you're talking about what's referred to as a "perf cut" for perforation.
as for manual, this took about 3 seconds of google work. gotta be able to help yourself...
Gonna submit a nudge to the local property owner's association that maintains the roads here (all private so less red tape to deal with  ). Can anyone give me a ballpark pricing rang for standard street name signs? I can figure out my costs/markup etc, but I'd like to know if I should...
Odd that this pops up today. Yesterday I ran to the local Michael's to snag some 651 in a pink color that I didn't have on hand for a quick one-off decal for a friend. Wasn't worth ordering it. Anyway, it seemed to cut fine by all appearances, but weeding SUCKED bigly. Similar to The Duke, with...
If you don't want to do it or haven't already found a fabricator, this is definitely something we could handle. Holler at me if you want to talk details.
I'll third Substance. They've got excellent products and seem to be all around great folks to deal with. I just wish they made a satin/lustre laminate or I could convince my one hold-out client to switch from that to matte.
I will say that I'm not a fan of ColDesi as a business as much as I wanted to be since they're close. If you want more details feel free to give me a ring at some point this weekend, but I prefer to spend my money with just about anyone else.
Way back in the day (like 12+ years ago) I had a client who refurbished directional digging machines and wanted rolls of the striping for them. I wound up using the folks at sharpline.com as my outsource partner and they did a fantastic job. Next time when you get something like this, look for...
