  8. Versa art RS-640 - First real printing problem

    I had this problem printing on my RE640 to Roland paper SGP3 and was having the same issue with black, tech told me to use a vinyl profile (I am using GCVP gloss vinyl) and that problem is gone, of course I am printing to the same Roland paper SGP3.

    Try http://www.jetbestusa.com/ these inks also cleaned my printhead whean was not printing properly, it had a lot of banding and now after I started used this ink, my test print are great....... I recommend these inks, check the prices, I buy half liter for $45.00, a liter for $89.00.

    I use JetBestUSA inks and the liter is $89.00 is very good, that one of my print heads was not firing properly, but about 3 day later I noticed that my printhead was cleaned very good (washed), now it print perfect, I do not have banding anymore.

    that size is about 3ft x 5ft, for that big, I do not use my printer or another vinyl cutter, I just cut them manually, each if they are a few, but I cut 2 sides only when they are a lot, then I use a paper cutter, where I can cut up to 300 sheets of vinyl with lamination.

    all you need to do is: (it happen to me long time ago, and called roland for support) turn off the printer, turn off the main switch and unplug the power cord, leave it for at least 20 minutes and then plug it in, turn on the mains switch and the subpower and you will be ok.

    there is ink in the fee lines? usually that is a problem when there is no more ink, or the feed lines sucked in air, you will need to remove the dampers from the print head and with a syringe pull the ink from each until you get the ink in the syringe, place the damper back in the print heads...

    my printer was doing exactly the same, I was going crazy about it and I almost buy a new print head, (with labor about $1,300.00), I start using Jetbest ink and oracal profile 3561 and............. magic.......... the print heads after 1 or 2 days of normal printing (2.5 hours a day for me)...

    I use a fan aiming at the print, but below the printheads, otherwise you will blow the ink when the printhead is firing, I use paper that it takes time to dry, so with the fan it dries faster about 60% of the normal time it would take.
