GLad it turned out okay for you.
A little late for advice but here is how I would (and do) work with gator.
For inside:
find what size sheet you will need for the letters, say 4'x4' piece for instance. prime both sides with 1 coat of chromatic universal white primer. When dry, sand and then...
They use RGB strictly from what I was told.
When I call out PMS colors during ordering, they usually come out fine in the end product. For the products they sell where they don't offer PMS matching, you can set the RGB profile for that color in Photoshop or Illustrator and I find that comes out...
I don't have a printer and steered-clear of digital work until about 2 years ago when I started using signs365. I have been super happy with them. Over hundreds of jobs, they have maybe goofed up 2-3 times and always made it right by either immediately shipping out replacement or giving me a...
well "say one thing do another" is not really a personal philosophy or anything like that, but I appreciate that your sympathy for my situation.
To be blunt, I was selling a program that originally costs $3k+ an is still worth $2k for upgrades and you offer $200 and act all but-hurt becuase I...
"integrus"?
Oh wow, guilt from a sign forum.
Karma was created by Hindu priests as a way to keep people in the lower ranks for the castes system content with being treated like crap. it's a BS religious concept.
me: "It was never really about he amount, I just need it gone. I am moving my shop into my house and I am liquidating most of my old equipment."
That is exactly what it boils down to. I am busy as hell and need it gone. Plus I have never sold anything out of state before. I have someone on my...
I am sorry to be so flaky and I appreciate your understanding. It was never really about he amount, I just need it gone. I am moving my shop into my house and I am liquidating most of my old equipment.
The other person is coming tomorrow to pick it up or I would sell it to you for $200.
Sorry to go back and forth here, but I have someone locally who wants to buy it for the same amount. I'd rather not package and ship if I don't have to
To be honest, I don't know. I know in it's current state it is not worth much because it's outdated, but it's trade-in value for Omega is worth quite a bit.
Make me an offer?
I have a GA 6.0 Elite with dongle that has never even been out of the box. I bought it as an add-on when I got my Gerber plotter in 1999. I now am moving and want to sell it.
Although an outdated program, it can be upgraded though Denco Sales (or probably any GSP rep) to OMega 6.0 for $850. The...
Ip posted this in the wrong forum.
FWIW, I have a Summa D75 and it is a decent plotter. Cuts vinyl really well, does not do pen patterns very well. Had to create a custom platform to keep paper from constantly munching.
did you try contacting Gerber? Or Signlab? My fastrack plotter just ran with the existing drivers that came with my program (casmate and flexi). But yeah, I think I may have had to use Mutoh drivers.
I had one for 13 years and am trying to sell it now. No issues really to speak of but ehre's one good trick: if you are using the pouncing tool for making patterns, you don't need their alternate pouncing platen strip: just take a piece of 1/16" 3m D/F foam tape and lay it across the platen...
IDK what model you have, but my D75 doesn't seem to have any preferences, except what I found below. I have used local sign supplier plotter-paper and generic butcher paper. The best I found was EZ DRAW from Fellers. It is thicker, whiter and slicker than any, IMO
I bought my plotter brand new...
