Looking to see where everyone else is at with shop minimums & really small jobs. I have a small sign shop & been in business about 4 years now. I have a 48" mutoh, laminator & plotter, as well as a heat press for t-shirts & we contract out screen printed t's.
We are getting an enormous...
We use the Perf Cut on our FC7000 all the time. Just finished a run of 2000 bumper stickers & it saves quite a bit of time. In my opinion it is just much more presentable & neater to give to a customer rather than them being hand cut. Play with it & find what setting works best for you. We...
Budget means alot!!!! I got into this about 3 years ago now & bought a Mutoh valujet, Laminator & Vinyl Express Q54 plotter from SW. I know alot of people don't like to hear the Sign Warehouse name, but to get into the industry with printer, plotter & laminator for around 15k is great. Has...
Why does it seem like everyone that is screen printing now says "SUB IT OUT" but they still continue to do it?
There is no room to sub this out as it is basically already going through 2 hands (not including me) no more meat on the bone.
Larry,
I have an order ready for all the supplies listed. Just waiting to decide weather to pull the trigger. I have been working on this for a couple months now.
Thank you (everyone) for your advice. I do understand that this will be a major feat, but I cannot sub this job out there is no money left for it. As far as other equipment, I am getting from M&R (hopefully) a 31x40 metal halide 3140 exposure unit, and a 36-10-6 dryer. I currently do sub out my...
So here is the deal. I think I am getting in to screen printing. I have never done, but am looking to jump in the whole nine yards. I have an opportunity to do approx. 130k pieces in the last two quarters of this year.
With that being said, I have been talking to M&R & Anatol. Both have...
Ok.... I will do that. I am hoping to have this done soon. I will try to get some pics of the layout posted.
How about material??? We have done a partial wrap on a 55 ford pickup & a couple trailers & have used 3M controltac. What do some of you guys prefer or like??
I have already got artwork for a wrap on my personal vehicle. It is a 2005 4 door Chevy duramax 2500 HD. Anyone have any pointers or suggestions.
The wrap is laid out with a zipper in the center of the truck with advertisement for our sign shop on one side & our ATV shop on the other...
Dont let this make your decision... It is very hard to beat SW's price on their equipment... I want to say I bought mine right at 2 yrs ago & got the Q54 plotter, 1204 mutoh & laminator for under 15k
At some point in time you will have issues with all of them.
I have the same exact equipment as you, besides we are still running XP. The machine has worked very well for right at 2 years, until now.
I would also agree with you that it looks like it is not a cutter issue, but from changing computers, to software, to files, etc... I still think it is...
Ours is almost exactly 2 yrs old. I absolutely love it.... when its working. I already like it much better than the graphtec we got, but then again its not worth anything if it doesnt work.
I have wiped clean my cpu & installed a fresh download of Flexi 10.5???
Although it is weird that my new graphtec is doing the same thing!! I have done sooooo many test, different files, laminated, non-laminated, output compensation test, PF feed, hell there is probably more just cant...
I will try to make this as short as possible...
I have a Vinyl Express Q54 Plotter bought from Sign Warehouse bundled with a 1204 Mutoh & Laminator. Recently I have had a problem with the contour cut being off. I went through hours of test with tech support at SW only for them to tell me he...
