I have corel, I'll be the one saving the corel file for them. However the design is a bit complex and two of the colors are merging into a single color, doing a find and replace would be out of the question without wasting a large amount of time.

So I have a decide made of six or seven spot colors, I need to provide a corel file to the client, but I can't get the .eps file to maintain the spot colors. What happens is the spot colors get changed to rgb colors and some of them even change values. How can I move files over and...

What image file type, what rip, what resolution? I know on versaworks you can't make mulitple copies of different sizes unless you bring in different copies of the same file ( if you want one file at three sizes, import the same file three times, nest, and size each one)

I use adobe to modify/design things. I can't stand the interface on corel draw. Too menu driver it seems to me. I love corel for ouputting sperations and working multi page files though. I'd love to have an illustrator interface with corels outputting options.

The trick to mounting unlaminated prints is to not pull alot of the backing off. Maybe one or two inches while it sits on the roller, anymore and it's stretch city.

We use the same as above on our 545.

The only changes I make when printing on banner is putting a banner roll instead of a vinyl roll on the printer.

Version 10 brought in "smart" compound shapes that allowed you to "unite" two items, but you could still go back and move those two items indepently under a "sub object". That's why the expand button is there. Ones you've done expand you can no longer adjust the individual components...

If you can access the service mode you can print out a status report that will tell you how many shots fired among other things.

You won't really see much use out of a tablet for working with vectors. Well, apart from the drawing like a pen thing. Illustrator, for example, has very little pressure sensitive tools.

All RIPs translate your file from cmyk/rgb to LAB* before going deciding the actual cmyk ink being used by the printer. Unless you're working inside your printers cmyk color space during file creation(loading the ICC files to work in that space), you're missing out on some color ranges outside...
