  2. Stay with Illy CS2 or move up to CS3?

Weird. I went from 10- 11 (cs) and it was normal. When I moved over to CS2 it felt really bloated and slow.

  10. ...for all you Photoshop experts!

Okay, just know there's some false information in there somewhere. His posts might be filled with words, but there's some stuff in there that's wrong. Sadly I don't have the time to expound parapgraphs upon paragraphs of basic level information about resolutions, how printers work, and how RIPs...
  11. ...for all you Photoshop experts!

Sorry but that whole file resolution to print resolution is totally offbase. First indicator is that you refer to file resolutions as DPI. RIPs don't interpret information by "inch" instead they intepret information by "lines" or "passes". The PPI will only slow the RIP down the higher it...
  12. ...for all you Photoshop experts!

  13. Same problem, different day. (photoshop)

Whatever HD you get make sure it's a high speed 7200 RPM minimum.
  14. Same problem, different day. (photoshop)

You don't want to point Scratch disks to partitioned drives. You'll only slow PS down even more.
  15. Same problem, different day. (photoshop)

The only way to speed up with scratch disk is with a whole seperate HD installed in the computer. If you're external drive is USB or ethernet, don't bother using it as a scratch disk. If you're getting out of memory messages, you're designing too big. Often times I'll have to create and...

  17. What size plotter?

I used to think "man these 24" rolls are HUGE" when we started. We were only buying 15" rolls for our 24" machine (big bucks for the 15" rolls when you start!). The other day I found a 15" box next to 54" media. I nearly broke my head from rolling around on the floor laughing at the tiny...

  19. Conflict when upgrading from VE LXi to flexiSIGN ?

No, I mean, if you're already in the program running designs and everything it isn't a problem of the dongle. The dongle prevents the program from booting up, not from cutting as far as I know.
