Look at the Seramark material, it's a great product. Prints well, meets CSA requirements, is made in the Midwest. Doesn't fray, conforms better than most on the market.
The pvc and the styrene will probably yellow at very similar rates outdoors. The styrene will have worse cold crack resistance than the pvc, as well as general poorer flex modulus properties than the pvc. I would stick with the Coroplast if I were you, or you could look at HDPE with a UV...
2x, General Formulations makes a good HTAP vinyl that should work with regard to adhesion to the tub, it is a calendered vinyl with a water based acrylic. Hexis makes an awesome 7mil HTAP calendared vinyl that is extremely agressive and has a solvent based adhesive system. Either product...
Before you purchase either be sure to send either Fuji or Agfa all the materials you intend to print on as well as those you might consider in the future. The Oce seems to be a bit more finicky as far as adhesion is concerned as well as generally laying down a nice solid when it comes to...
No one is making a static cling perforated vinyl that I know of. Just work with the Clear Focus or General Formulations type products. The removable adhesive system will work just fine and give fewer headaches in the long run over static cling.
If you really believe that he's going out of business the earlier suggestion of bartering might be a good one. We've done that with customers in the past. It helps to soften the sting.
What adhesive are you using ? What type of material are you adhering it to ? What thickness are the panels ? Are the panels being used on curved surfaces ?
I have a good friend that owns an asphalt business, didn't get paid by a customer. He went to the job site and dumped a load of asphalt in front of the deadbeats door. He had some legal costs but got paid and said the legal costs were worth it.
3M 4000 DG and 3M 680 are two completely different things in terms of reflectivity. You may need to qualify this better. 3M 680 is much closer to Avery A3 than 3M 4000 DG. Avery A3 is also very close to Nippon Carbide Flexible Engineering grade film. Good Luck !
Try Nippon Carbide Crystal Grade reflective, 800 821 4264 and ask for George Tamyori he's very knowledgable. Nippon Carbide offers great products. You can use my name if you'd like.
I had to think about this for a couple of minutes. While I appreciate the fact that you're trying to be mindful of your suppliers employee I don't think you should keep quiet. Most companies lose business and never know why and the owner of that company should know because he or she is...
Try adding humidity to your environment, check with your inkjet manufacturer first. UV printers have been using humidity in their pressrooms for years to keep static down. Try and find a humidifier that atomizes the water if possible.
I believe Fuji is a partner both in terms of stock and name with Screen. I don't think most people realize the scope of Fuji's size. They are massive, quite possible larger than a company like GE. The small manufacturer will continue to lose marketshare and die off unless they can innovate...
