Run it Hotter and Run it slower. I have had that issue on heavy banner material. Come to find out it was a mixture of the material not getting hot enough and not letting the ink and heat alter the surface so you still get all those streaky wavy lines from the production of the material... But ya...
We actually printed on Carpet the other day for a company with out UV ink. Came out great. Ill upload pics later. as Far as preping, on Substrates and other flats we use Iso Alcohal and wipe it clean. everything else its cake to print on

Ok so I got this customer be brought me plexiglass. He wants to know how to Seal the UV to make it harder than it already is. I have explained to him that UV is like a Brick of Ink its solid and so on. He says he wants it scratch resistant... Heard of this stuff called Crystal Bond but not sure...
