  1. Printing Grey with HP Latex 360

I wish it was more consistent but I’m a one man show doing it all. So I can only burn through so much without losing focus. I did try to profile from caldera and it gave me a cannot read error. Then I went and profiled from the printer, which I have done in the past. After profiling, I changed...
  2. Printing Grey with HP Latex 360

I will definitely give that a shot with Calderas test print. I don’t disagree with you, I just have been trying and trying. Bought it used and right away had a 2k service call. Have seen some of the prints from a Mutoh and can’t see that off an HP. I do prefer a CMYK build, as pure K just looks...
  3. Printing Grey with HP Latex 360

Have tried that in the past with less than satisfactory results. At one point during this we learned that my i1 was broken and that cost me about 2k a month after I bought this machine. Considering selling this 360 and buying a Mutoh 1682SR.
  4. Printing Grey with HP Latex 360

Also, all printheads are shooting clean. Checked from a nozzle check out of the service menu thanks to a Denco rep that popped his head in.
  5. Printing Grey with HP Latex 360

That’s what I’ve heard... calibrated more than a few times, profile is just installed from Avery. Firmware is up to date. Can’t hit neutral greys on any profiles or media. I’m designing in CMYK. When I Design 0/0/0/50 Etc... it is green.
  6. Printing Grey with HP Latex 360

Hey guys, always seem to find an answer here to any issues I have before posting, but I’ve been trying to find a reasonable answer to this for over a year, specifically for this fleet I work on. My setup: HP Latex 360 Avery MPI 1105/1360 Caldera V12 Mac Designing in Adobe Illustrator saving to...
  7. Multiple Passes for Cutting out of Caldera to Summa S2

Did you ever figure this out? I am still fighting my cutter to read the barcodes but would like to know this for MX Graphics.
  8. 3m, Avery, Techwrap, Vvivid charging for sample books

Avery and Teckwrap will both give free swatchbooks. Not sure about others.
  9. Summa S2 160T Registration WAY Off.

I will try that. I have more of the same design that I’ve been waiting on. All while this is happening we ended up in a last minute move two weeks ago, and during Christmas of all times. The graphtec I was running somewhere around 25 for pressure and 30 for speed.
  10. Summa S2 160T Registration WAY Off.

I have not enabled Sheet mode or paneling. 24in/s at 160g on laminated calendered. Im putting each job through individually, loading sheet by sheet. They track straight, they cut crooked.
  11. Summa S2 160T Registration WAY Off.

I hope that’s the case. When all of these started, I got perfect results on 3/10 sheets. Then on the next 3 it would cut half of the sheet out of alignment. All the exact same art file and design. Ever since it went out, it hasn’t been in line.
  12. Summa S2 160T Registration WAY Off.

I tried to follow calderas instructions to connect and got no where. I also tried to connect to Signcut Pro because that’s another software I’m familiar with, I couldn’t get connection there either. Those guys were stumped and are working on it on the development side.
  13. Summa S2 160T Registration WAY Off.

My goal is to eliminate having to transfer to PC. I prefer not to have anything PC, never liked it since I got into Graphic Design. I will have to call Caldera and learn how to set this thing up within caldera to get rid of Macsign or Winplot all together. In my honest opinion, they’re both...
  14. Summa S2 160T Registration WAY Off.

Marks are created with Summa’s plugin for Illustrator.
  15. Summa S2 160T Registration WAY Off.

FrankW RIP is Caldera, I’m on a Mac. No scaling in the RIP. With a tape measure, I read the exact distance between the markers that are in my file, on my print. It’s about an inch off on the 3rd marker. Once it finds it, it registers another 10 or so on that side correctly, then it goes...
  16. Summa S2 160T Registration WAY Off.

Hey guys, this is my first post but I’ve gained a lot of knowledge on the forum from you guys. One of the things I’ve learned is the combo of a Summa S2 with HP Latex. I’ve been used to a Graphtec FC5100 for the past few years and it has never let me down. The S2 is a different story. I am...
