  2. Roland SP-300V

The encoder strip is a clear plastic tape that runs across the back of the print head has very small markings printed on it to tell the print head where it is located as it moves left and right. Be very CAREFUL if you clean it, you don't want to scratch it or erase the markings. You say you...

  4. HDU just put up, Someone hit it with a Hammer

Wow, I don't know if I would call them kids, they are PUNKs... And not sure it was a hammer, looks more like the end of a log poll of some kind. Wouldn't a hammer make at least one ROUND impression? As to the fix, myself, I would only do it the RIGHT way, as mentioned, take it to the shop...
  5. Big squeege for wall murals?

The BS works very well for this type of application, however like with all manual tools, you are doing the driving, so if you apply more pressure on one side than the other, YOU could cause the material to stretch (wander as you put it), it's NOT the BS causing this effect...
  6. Painting 12 foot tall letters- how would you do it?

Gene, I think you are on the right track, the concrete blocks are all the exact size and usually the joints are pretty much the same, so I think the grid approach will work fine. My only suggestion would be to make all the dimensions from a datum point, like any control joints or expansion...

  8. 2011 Jeep 4-Door JK Wrangler - How much 60" film?

Here is a link to the 2011 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited specifications, you could use the dimensions to figure out how much materials is needed, I would add 20% extra as a buffer. http://www.media.chrysler.com/dcxms/assets/specs/2011_JP_WranglerUnltd_Specs_.pdf
  9. How come trademark and copyright protection for artwork doesn't apply to music?

  11. How come trademark and copyright protection for artwork doesn't apply to music?

Well according to Wikipedia, the song was written by lead singer Ryan Tedder (shown in the video). http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Counting_Stars I just find it strange how many people can make a video of their own version the same popular hit song as the original artist and post on YouTube. And...
  12. Whats the least expensive option for a potential customer.

To the OP: Lets get back to the basics, the vehicle finish has issues, old vinyl lettering, latex paint, peeling paint etc., you are NOT in the body shop business or auto painting business, right? So, just tell him to take the vehicle to his favorite body shop, have them sand, strip, or...

  15. Hello from Texas!!

Welcome to the site, like GypsyGraphics said, this is a site for people in the sign business (who make their living making signs), but I guess you passed the test or Fred would not have allowed you to join. I want to start making monuments, maybe you could help me with that? What is the best...

  18. How to recover data from a hard drive (stuck heads: buzzing, clicking, etc)

No, that's not it, the IRS is under investigation for targeting Tea Party groups, and when they were asked to produce emails from the person who authorized the targeting, all of the sudden the IRS tells Congress that a total of eight employees whose emails are sought in the congressional...
